For reasons unknown, the Premium Support program was removed. Those who qualify will still be able to use the “premium” email and live chat until the number of days from their last purchase exceeds the eligibility requirements which are listed
here. At this time I don’t know if these means email and live chat are going to be removed for all players or if this simply means that Zynga is no longer going to give preferential treatment to those who spend money (perhaps a law suit or Facebook told them they can’t do this). More details are shown below.
Clicking the link of the notification directs one to
this page which still lists email and live chat as one of the support channels but both entries state that they are a “premium service”. This leaves the reader confused. Are they going to remove these options or simply make them a non-premium channel?

If email and live chat are removed for all players then I’m not sure what players will do when they have a technical account specific bug. We are told the other support channels which we can go to are the
forums and the
social support. If this is all that will remain hopefully Zynga will work on improving both sites and get moderators who play the game.

ReplyDeleteTo my understanding they are going to end the any kind of Mafia Wars Support, if you visit the new Zynga page which they brought after removing toolbar, you will notice there is every game for bonus collection but no sign of Mafia Wars. or may be the got enough money for this stupid program. but one thing for sure, they always come with some big stupidity when they remove any feature, thats for sure.

If they would fix the glitches in the game we wouldn't need as much support as we do currently. With less problems they wouldn't need as many people to respond to all the complaints.
ReplyDeleteTime to bring back Mafia Wars game cards like from few years ago w/ updated cover photo on there or use Facebook card (similar to iTunes Gift cards) in order to buy RPs like on premium items in the Marketplace, missions, 2X Property builds, missions, energy/stamina refills, etc.

ReplyDeleteThe forum is no longer an option since last year's end. The forum is replaced by player to player support; the second option you mention.

DeleteA friend had a technical issue or bug and went to support. She saw the info and went to the forums. The forums said she could not post new threads even though she was logged in with an account. She clicked 'contact us' and was back at the support site.
DeleteForums have recent posts but not sure how. How do you report a bug when you aren't allowed to post? lol
If they remove e-mail and live support I fear they will also remove another good number of players as the "help forum" is virtually useless in my experience . Should I have a significant problem I'd like to talk with a Zynga rep that can either do something to resolve the issue or at the very least provide me with info on the issue and what is being done and I am positive I am not the only one that feels that way.

ReplyDeleteI can't imagine Facebook got involved in this since Facebook has no support at all. But maybe. If they take away all support for players, how long will the game survive?
ReplyDeleteI think this might be the beginning of the end and not joking. I was on another service before and things like this started happening, then the forums started filling with complaints and then closed soon afterwards as they said they could not afford to support them.

ReplyDeleteThat's correct! And I see it happening here as well. Nothing is getting fixed. Same bugs and errors for months now. It's probably easier to just get what they can out of the few remaining players crazy enough to keep paying and once that number really falls just end it. Vampire wars is gone, it had a following and this game will end before too long as well. It's a real shame, but comes as no surprise.

ReplyDeleteAs a player that was transferred from MySpace to the Facebook platform, this was exactly how Zynga phased out the Mafia Wars game. Next, you will find yourself in an exhaustive, futile attempt to get answers from moderators, until they just finally quit responding. Finally, they will no longer update any of the game play, until finally, you will log on to the game and get a message stating the game is no longer available. But, they will not hesitate to continue taking your money up to the last minute.

ReplyDeleteWith support, you say you want to know what time it is, some agents will tell you how to build a clock and some agents will direct you to an hourglass...it's the rare ones who will ask where you are and tell you the correct time.
T think everyone is right about this one. This really does look like the beginning of the end.
ReplyDeleteMy support has been beyond broken for over 6 months now. I do VIP and I purchase RP... yet I have not had email support for over half a year, I am LUCKY if I get Live Chat to come up once a week. The Question and Answer Support Page is BLANK. Yet they are happy to keep taking my money and stealing RP from my account... yet do NOTHING to fix it. In all the years I have been playing this game, I have never seen it as bad as it is now.
