Challenge Any Player to a 1-On-1 Arena

The 1-On-1 Arena feature sounded really cool until Zynga decided that limiting who we could challenge was a good idea  [1]. This feature has been out for 4 days now and I have yet to receive a challenge in my new Arena inbox [1]. I want to challenge and fight people I know, not random people on my leaderboards who I know nothing about. Apparently so do most other players. Thankfully Team Spockholm has a solution to this issue and now you can send a challenge to any player. Go here for more details and feedback.

Version 1.12beta of Spartacus on the backup server has options to send and accept 1-On-1 Challenges.

To access version, go to the Configuration page and check “Use backup server”.

Load Spartacus as you normally would and click on the “Lobby” button located to the right of the “Start” button. 

Once in the Lobby, you can click “Auto accept challenges” to automatically accept and perform and you can also send challenges to the player of your choice.

Click the “Send Challenge” button and enter the players Mafia Wars ID#. This number can be found on the Mafia Wars profile page of any player as long as your Spockholm Toolbar is enabled.

Once you hit “Ok”, a challenge will be sent to the player you chose. If they accept and you are running Spartacus, the fight will begin.

Players may find that they are often booted from the Lobby. If this happens to you, keep the “Reconnect” box checked.

This feature is still in beta so it is likely to be changed and improved. Your feedback, should you choose to accept the beta test challenge, should be provided here and this will help team Spockholm. There is still a lot of question as to whether or not this feature will be utilized.
