The Back In Blood Limited Time Mission is now available. Zynga doesn’t think before they release. It would appear they are desperately trying to get players into the Arena but they don’t get that event overload keeps them out. Granted there are Arena related tasks but this was just poor planning on their part. There are 15 days to complete this Mission and I will post a walkthrough once I finish it. In the meantime you can read the 50 post that were made before this about the Arena.
Why does everyone complain about the arena?
ReplyDeleteI´m not even a high end player, but that one is definitely not going to set me up.
I mean we´re not sitting in the dev´s chair, so have to take it as it is, not as we wish.
In the end it´s a game, so get it straight and learn the rules (even if zanga makes it hard to enjoy sometimes)

I think everyone complains about the Arena because of how pushy Zynga are in monetising it and forcing players to choose between using the Arena to get ahead faster (e.g., the XP from finishing Missions) or going without
DeleteAND - when the Arena first came out, you could never get where you needed to be because they TOOK Respect AWAY...and there was no rhyme nor reason to what Respect you got even if you got 1st Place. Now that they stopped taking away Respect in a game, most people are fine with the Arena now.
DeleteIt comes as no surprise that there is a mission and an arena event released. If you look at the history of the game, a mission is usually released when there is approximately 2 days left in the Secret District. Don't get me wrong, my SD needs one hit to be complete, just farming loot for now ;)

ReplyDeleteThe arena is a disaster for some returning players. My son, who has been going through a divorse and career changes had started playing on an "off and on" manner and finally quit for almost six months is stuck there.
ReplyDeleteHe has less from 2 to 3 thousand of att or health. Stamina even worse and he simply cannot get the 5 items they want in the arena or do the London job on the last page of the city. Players in his situation would probably quit in frustration.
