We find that there are often competitive events in Mafia Wars. Zynga has made it clear that they like them and we will probably continue to see more and more. It all started with Death By Ice then came the Ice Board, Job Board and Fence Boards. The Arena even has 2 types of these events, one for the families and one for individuals. Besides encouraging and rewarding script abuse, the most ridiculous aspects of these events is that they are pulled the second the event expires. Unless they were online, players have no way of knowing how they did. A special ridiculous aspect of individual Arena competitive events is that the timer is removed from the game once a player masters it. Those competing for ranks on the Global Leaderboard have no way to tell when the event expires. Who thinks these things through???? Since many have lost their in game timer, the countdown timer below may help.
