In honor of the Chinese New Year which is February 10th this year, Zynga is having a Marketplace Promotion called “Year Of The Mafia”. Trader Goh is the host of this promotion which explains why there is a big nerf involved. The promotion will expire at 11:59 PM on February 11th.
The same rules for previous promotions apply, purchases need to be made in the Marketplace or in the Arena (Stamina Refills are the only purchase that will count) for 5 reward points or more. Treasure Chest items and Skill Point Reallocations don’t count. The goal is to get enough tick marks to get a “Grand Prize” item, the Indochinese Tiger. I will never understand why they call something you have to pay for a prize. You will get one with 5, 10, 15 and 25 qualifying purchases but only the one with the highest stats stays in your inventory.
Crates are on sale and each one purchased earns you a tick mark. Normally Marketplace Promotions offer the most recent Crates for 8 reward points each and the old ones for 6 reward points each. Trader Goh likes his reward points and now all crates are 9 reward points each. Zynga probably didn’t think we would notice. The current available Crates are Classic Crates and Showbiz Crates. UPDATE: The cost for these crates were adjusted to the normal and expected 8 and 6 reward points [1].
they have reduced back to the original state 8 & 6 RP.
