The Heart Of Hell Limited Time Mission is available for 16 days. During this Mission you will go all over the place. The first part has tasks in Brazil, Chicago and London. The Arena is also incorporated into this Mission so there are some new types of tasks as well as a not so pleasant bug. If you don’t like the Arena then you may have problems with this Mission. There are a total of 10 parts which include a Bonus Mission. If you like old Stranger’s Swag items then this is the Mission for you. Remember the number of Mission tasks are depended on many variable of your account. The number of tasks shown below are from my account and may be different than yours. The tasks are all the same and only the required number may vary.
Part 1: Look At Me
Your Headquarters property is located in Brazil. There is a 8 hour timer between collections. Collect from the home page to avoid collecting energy and stamina when you don’t need it.
Go to District 2 of Chicago and do the job “Case Warehouse on the North Side”. This job costs 378 energy when ruby mastered.
No hop on over to London and rob Sports Stadiums. If you want to conserve stamina, use Robber Redux to target rob.
The rewards for this part of the Mission are 1 Firescape and a experience bonus that is a percentage of your level. Please do not comment that your bonus is different than mine. It probably will be.
Part 2: Only One I See
Do the London District 1 job “Bet On “The Kid” Losing The Championship Fight” until you loot your required number of Newsboys.
The Newsboy is from the 9th generation of Stranger’s Swag and will probably be helpful to some players [1].
Robbing Refineries from Brazil could cost one a lot of stamina if do it from the Robbing Board. Use Robber Redux in the same manner as described in Part 1. Even with this script, it cost me about 1,000 stamina to rob the 50 in which I was required. Hopefully your requirements will be less.
The useless consumable item for this Mission is the Iron. The “Ask” button is on the Mission Page and you can ask every 2 hours. Depending on how many of your mafia members click on these requests, you could be stuck with a lot of these items. The requests do not expire. I only needed 4 but ended up with 116 of them. Talk about overkill!
The rewards are 1 WAC Panic Room and a experience bonus.
Part 3: Very Extraordinary
You can declare a war every 8 or 6 hours depending on your level of Family Progression. Use the War-o-Matic to easily find opponents that won’t fire back. All those players who quit the game do come in handy at times. 
Zynga added something to incorporate the Arena into Missions. Ask you mafia for 8 Power Cards by clicking on the “Ask Now” button. Beware as this feature is currently glitched. I’ve been collecting Power Cards for weeks and lost most of them.
I took a screen shot of my Power Card balance before generating the request shown above and about 6 minutes later. When I refreshed the game, my Power Card balance went from 423 to 45. I’m not very happy about this and if they don’t fix it then Customer Support is going to get flooded with inquiries. EDIT: This bug was reported to the Mafia Wars Team and should be resolved but it would be a good idea to buy Power Ups before starting this task or buy off the task for 10 reward points.
Go to Chicago and rob until you get the required number of Hyaxes. The Hyax is another Stranger’s Swag item from generation 8 [1].
I needed to loot 60 of these items and it cost a little over 2,500 stamina to do so. If this item helps you the bad news is they stop dropping after 60. Use Robber BG to quickly get through this task.
The rewards are 1 Ankole Watusi and an experience bonus.
Part 4: Everyone That You Adore
There are 4 ways to get 2 Crew Members. Before you decide, make sure you have 2 spots available in your queue. The easiest is to generate a news feed request by clicking the “Ask” button. The destination of doesn’t matter as the queue is common to Brazil, Chicago and London.
You can run the Stream Scanner and for every queue you are added to, that player will also be added to yours.
The next way is to use the Gift Blaster and send out Crew requests. When someone accepts your “gift” they will be added to your queue.
If you accept these gifts from your ZMC and are added to the queue, you will also get credit. If you have a lot of gifts, click on the Help Request icon to filter them out or just use the Gift Collector.
Craft any item from your Chop Shop the required number of times. There is an 18 hour timer between builds so this may slow you down. Use the home page module or Property Manager III for easy crafting.
The 3rd task offers something new. You will need to participate in the Arena. The number of shootouts required is different depending on your account. I needed to do 15 of them and it slowed me down. The 500 and 100 both count so the choice is up to you. If you have less than 3,000 stamina you will have the 20 and 100 options. To get through these without having to do all the clicking the Arena requires, use Spartacus.
After all that work, the rewards are 1 Bricklayer and a experience bonus.
Part 5: All That I Can Give To You
100 Arena
500 Arena
Go to District 3 of London and do the job “Work With The PI At The Crime Scene”, This job requires 756 energy when on the ruby level. Depending on your number of jobs requires, it could take some energy.
The rewards for this part of the Mission are 1 Firescape and 1 Ankole Watusi plus another experience bonus.
Part 6: More Than A Game For Two
Go to the Arena and craft any of the Power Ups that can be made from Power Cards. This must be why they take all your Power Cards in Part 3! The cheapest Power Up is the Health Refill and it costs 2 Power Cards per item.
Go to District 2 of Brazil and do the job “Dispose of a Police Chief” until you loot the required number of Mister Browns.
Mister Browns are yet another Stranger’s Swag item from generation 8.
Fight a few players in Chicago and collect your rewards which are 1 Bricklayer, 1 Wac Panic Room and a experience bonus.
Part 7: Two Can Make It
The drop rate is pretty crazy so this task shouldn’t take very long.
Go rob in Chicago and then click on this beauty. We have had this type of task in previous Missions and it confused many players. All you need to do is click on the “Ask Now” button. There is no trading of any type going on and you won’t lose anything. You will only gain Tracing Wheels.
Tracing Wheels are from the 8th generation of Stranger’s Swag.
The rewards are 1 Ankole Watusi, 1 Wac Panic Room and a experience bonus.
Part 8: Take My Heart
Part 9: Please Don’t Break It
The only new type of task in this part involves the Arena and you need to do some damage. Damage is equivalent to your score. If you have a lot of stamina, this task shouldn’t take you very long.
The rewards include the 1st Grand Prize item, the , and a larger than normal experience bonus.
Part 10: Love Is For Me And You
The last part is a not so surprising Bonus Mission. The Truck Shop is in Chicago and there is an 8 hour timer between collections.
Grab some easy ices from the Arena. You earn 1 ice for every 500 stamina spent in the Arena regardless of how you placed or what you scored.
If you completed the 2nd task, the 3rd one should already be done. You get way too many useless loot rewards and most likely enough of them will be weapons. If you need to acquire some more, go to any City Store and purchase useless weapons with your useless currency.
The rewards are identical to those of Part 9.
If you complete all parts of this Mission you will gain 3 each of the Firescape, WAC Panic Room, Ankole Watusi and Bricklayer plus 2 Deep Impacts. 
Once you collect your rewards for Part 10, the banner will disappear from your home page and the Missions Log will list the last part as expired. It would be better if it said “Complete”.
Tossers, an Arena based mission won't help your feature. We'll just ignore that too.

ReplyDeleteI really don't understand the gradients. If it is based on strength and stamina etc, then why does my level 400 mini have to do more in the first task than you? All of my accounts have to do more in the tasks than you every time you post these and I am nowhere near your strength or skills levels. But the fact that a level 400 mini has to do more is just ridiculous. I will have to see how it progresses but for task 1 my baby mini has to rob 15 times and my main and other mini has to rob 23 times. This is completely unfair.

ReplyDeleteHow many times have we seen this exact same bug (ie. losing your existing stock of an item that you're supposed to collect). I mean seriously, how far does your head have to be up your ass to program the same bug over, and over, and OVER again??? As a computer programmer myself, I just don't get it. I mean, obviously there is something about their code that makes this an easy mistake to make. But how do you keep on doing it? It defies explanation. Do they use a new guy every time?

DeleteI have to agree with this poster, it does keep happening over and over again. They say they strive for a bug free game but at the same time they don't fix ones that are easy to fix, and keep making new ones that still don't get fixed and it's just a vicious cycle of "bug wars". They put almost no effort into keeping the game running smoothly, but put most concentration on how to sucker players into spending more and more money.

hell no, it doesn't happen, and you certainly wouldn't be able to keep it if it did, but they don't care for shit when your items go missing, they just blow you off and also don't care if you quit, because there are thousands of other dumbasses right behind you that will spend money blindly and not care if they get swindled or not.
For the record, re: Power Cards. Before the mission I crafted up to 30 of each power-up just to be safe, and had 97 left over. After the mission I have 103 after getting 10/10 -- yes, I had to collect 10 rather than 8 despite being a much lower level than you (2513). The math is a bit off, but, I didn't lose more than 4 (if any)...

I had 2/50 Refineries robbed in Brazil as part of this mission. I robbed 2 more SUCCESSFULLY, but they did not register. It should now read 4/50. ZYNGA = Zynga, You Need Greater Acumen.

I have never spent a dime on this game and I am already on the 9th step. This is one of the more simple missions yet. I agree the parts in the arena were mind numbing but I used the info I got here to make it go faster (like going into the 500 stamina arena to get the loot - I only needed to do two of these to collect enough)

ReplyDeleteThe arena parts of this mission really do go fast. For the one were you have to fight in 15, just hit fight, go off and do something else, and come back. As I don't care about the arena, loosing respect means nothing to me. I hit fight, went and made the bed, hit fight again, unloaded the washer, hit fight and got a cup of coffee...
DeleteAs with many others this will be one mission Pfft I'll not worry or care about finishing..Z has totally lost it! Arena Sprena "gag" however all blame can not go to Z you also gotta look at the players who enjoy the Arena(helps some players) just not my cup of tea!! Z needs to bring back the True and Blue parts of the game players enjoy..which as of late the game is a big joke!!

quickly click on each target. some will fail and only one will actually fight but you can get the game to flash the starting war banner which triggers the credit for a war.
Result you can do 3+ wars by just doing one :-).
I do not usually do the Arena, and this morning is another reason not to do it, I have over 75k combined skills and over 440k stats, I entered 20 arenas today, never got higher than 5th place in any of them and did not get 1 Needle magic to drop, also just before the end of the last one I got a stamina boost and it never showed up, the Arena is badly flawed .

I wish I had read through this before I started. . . If I'd known they were trying to force the Arena on us, I wouldn't have bothered. Now I'm battling my own compulsion (leave something unfinished? Ack!) and my desire to make a statement. I have over 1000 unused RP and could pay my way through this easy enough, but if I do, it just helps to reinforce that people are willing to do so and they'll do another one--even worse, no doubt.

I would whine on the MW forum but haven't bothered re-registering since they tried to clean out the malcontents by making us start over. For some reason, I thought to go there to see if anyone is complaining about this mission. I don't even see a thread about it! I do see a weird reference to MW leaving FB in March 2013 (check the Speakeasy and a thread about "is mafia wars really dying out"). I can't find an official reference to that but I have to admit the idea made my heart skip a beat. . . FINALLY, that would stick a fork in it for me. I will NOT follow MW to another platform and that would give me the push I need to finally say goodbye to this miserable game. Here's hoping I have the sense to never get roped into another crap game and instead channel my OCD on something halfway productive. . . like writing, knitting, philately, or staying ahead of the housework (at least the damned litter box--"multi-cat formula," my arse!)

ReplyDeleteIf nobody was shooting but your health was going down it sounds like maybe you don't have the visual affects option turned on (lower right of the arena). You may not be seeing the shooters. Unless you count using a script as cheating, there is no way to cheat in the Arena.

I can pay 3 RP (rather than 25) at this point to complete -- I could use what (very) little resources I have left for Part 10.
And this lack of Power Cards is killing me! Good ol' greedy Z!!

Not sure what all the fuss is with the Arena added. Ask for power cards,build 3 power ups,fight in 15 arena's (choose 100 arena using sparticus enabling do not attack--> 1500 stam only), Deal 4000 damage (1 match) and last but not least 30 ices ( In most cases less than 4 matches) and you have quite awhile to do it. Extremely easy timed mission

What a laugh! This mission is a cake walk if you don't care about Arena respect. I keep my respect under 1200 by joining Arenas and not fighting so I can dump major excess stamina just before a level up. I have dumped over 8K and gained all the experience points I used to lose. For this mission, I fought to get the items, then took my respect back down under 1200 as needed. Since my respect is so low, I don't have to fight against bots and players that care. 11+ days left, and I have only one weapon to built, then two more mission stages. 4000 points to score...one fight. Then 30 Arena ice OK...that will take some stamina, but not all that much more than fight list ice. Way easier than 50 kills in London/Brazil from past missions.
And no...no money spent here. No RPs either. Gonna get ruby in the Arena event too. Settle for 3rd (two crests) when you fight, keep your respect down below the bots...nothing to it.
My advise...take what they give you. If you don't have enough energy or stamina to finish missions, then add until you do have enough. That's what the rest of us had to do.
My problem with the damn arena parts is if I enter an arena it freezes after 5 seconds and I can't get anything accomplished in there, what a crock, I have tried all sorts of things to try and keep it from freezing but no luck

ReplyDeleteAs always, I am both appreciative and thankful for the time and effort that you put into these walk-throughs.Having said that, I can't help but notice that Zynga apparently could care less about smaller level accounts. I'm a level 2704; I notice from your screen shots that you're well over level 10,000. Yet I have the exact same requirements ... I even have an *additional* war requirement (win 3) in my part 9 gauntlet.

How does one use bots for the Arena? Yeah.. I play Mafia Wars manually. Whatever bots are...Lol+
ReplyDeleteThey are called addons. "Bots" are scripts which do the clicking in the game for you. There are many to choose from. You can find a couple right here like the Spockholm Mafia Tools tool bar (look at the top of this page). I know there is an Arena script ("spocklet") called Spartacus there which works well.

Dont know if someone already mentioned it, but I only need to fight 50 opponents in London for part 8: Take My Heart. Is that just because my level or stamina is lower or something? Or did they lower it because they had 101 events? :P

ReplyDeleteUnable to finish 9 and 10 since the arena won't open and has not opened for about a week now.Has not opened since the 5th requirement. Customer service rewarded me the 25 rp's necessary to get the needle magic but I am stuck now. They say to be patient that a fix is in the works but no timetable. I guess this will go unfinished. Thank you for all of your help and information.
