Secret District: When The Wild Strikes Walkthrough

Share:

When The Wild Strikes is the 21st Secret District and is now available. It takes place in Brazil and we have a total of 14 days to get it done. Energy players are super excited about the henchmen which has an attack of 161. Overall the ratios are about the same of recent Secret Districts and there is one which offers 2.33 and doesn’t require consumables.
“No country wants to ally with him and every private military organization wants him to be their brand ambassador. João Paulo Maicon spells doom for anyone who wants to take him on in a battle of might. Shut him and his operation down if he doesn't speak your language.”

To access When The Wild Strikes, use the Home Page banner, the Brazil Job Page or the Travel Menu. If you use the Spockholm Toolbar, just click on the “Secret” button from any district page in Brazil.

I guess Zynga is trying to conserve space on the Travel Menu so they shortened the name to “Wild Strikes”. Rather than give these districts long and elaborate names, it would be easier to keep the names short and simple.

There is one image on the Secret District Job Page and it changes to tell a story as you master each level.

If the guy in the third panel looks familiar, you probably saw the movie Platoon. He looks like a young Charlie Sheen! Thanks to Rick Brat for this suggestion.

Like all past Secret Districts, there are a total of 9 jobs and each job has 4 levels of mastery. There are no equipment items to purchase for Secret District jobs but 6 of the jobs require Real. Below are the job descriptions, requirements and payouts for each level.

The mastery percentages, currency requirements and ratios are listed below in chart form. I’m not overly impressed with the ratios as the last Secret District had a job with a 2.37 ratio. I am happy there is 1 job with a ratio better than anything else in the game but it’s only 2.33.

*Requires 1 Red Devil Durian per Job

The Red Devil Durian is the consumable item for this district. They are needed for two of the jobs and can be used as ammo for the Boss Fight. Durians can be found on the Free Gift Page and you can accept up to 250 per day.

You can also farm them by doing job #1. It costs 90 energy on the Bronze Level. If you choose this route, farm enough to fully master the district because the same job will cost you 486 energy on the Ruby Level.
consumable5 consumable6
You will need 1 Red Devil Durian per click for jobs #5 and #8 .
consumable4consumable3 You will need a total of 108 Red Devil Durains to fully master the district. Use your Strategist, Lockpick, 2X Mastery Boosts and Help Requests strategically and you won’t need nearly as many. If you don’t want to use your stamina for the Boss Fight you will want many more as they can be used as ammo.

Job Mastery Consumable/Job Consumable/LevelTotal
#5 9% 1 1248
#8 7% 1 1560
Total 108

There are 4 loot items which randomly drop from all jobs. You will need at least 50 of the first 3 items to get the 3 skill point bonuses. The rare item is helpful and a much needed henchmen for most of us but the drop rate isn't that great. If you want a lot of these, stay on the Bronze Level. There was a bug during the last Secret District and players were booted to the Silver Level before they defeated the boss. To ensure this doesn't happen, leave one of the jobs unmastered until you are done farming.

To maximize the loot drops of the first 3 items, take advantage of the 2X Loot Boosts. The Lockpick Bonus can also help . You can ask your mafia to send you 2X Loot Boosts once every 30 minutes (up to 5), collect up to 30 per day from the news feeds or put them on your wishlist.
There is a drop down tracker on top of the job page which helps you easily check on how many loot items, 2x Loot Boosts and consumables you have on hand. Once you get 10, 25 and 50 of the first three loot items shown above, you get bonus +5 attack points, +5 defense points and +5 skill points as a reward.

I did a Bronze Level run and the drop rates are shown below. This account doesn’t have any 2X Loot Boosts so you can double the number of the first 3 loot items. Utilizing 90,000 energy to do 1,000 jobs yielded 713 consumable items and only 9 of the rare and sought after Tupi Hunters. 2X Loot Boosts do not apply to Tupi Hunters and you will need to spend approximately 10,000 energy for each one assuming you stay on the Bronze Level. This item will be helpful to most players (even those who are maxed on Daily Take loot!).

Along the way, you will run into those annoying Bandits.  To reduce your level of irritation make sure your Crew queue is full before starting the district.

Scroll to the bottom of the Secret District Job Page to find the Boss Fight. João Paulo Maicon is the boss and it works the same as all the other Secret District Bosses. You can attack him with stamina or ammo and he is only available to defeat once per level. For more details on how Secret District Boss Fights work and instructions for the Spockholm Secret District Boss Fighter, go here.
boss1
João Paulo Maicon starts out with a health score of 2,500 on the Bronze Level and that increases 5,000, 15,000, 25,000 for the Silver, Gold and Ruby levels.
bosshealth
You can use stamina or ammo items to attack Secret District Bosses. If you use stamina, the initial cost for each level is 5. The amount goes up by 5 for each attack. If you wait 8 hours, the stamina per attack will reset to 5 and the gradient will work it’s way back up. We get our first glimpse of a danger of copy/pasting events.
boss2
Ammo items do more damage than stamina and it’s best to use them is combos. The three combos for this boss are shown below.

Green: Knuckles/Knife/Knife/Durian

  Yellow: Bat/Knuckles/Durian/Knife

  Red: Durian/Knuckles/Knuckles/Knife

The Secret District Boss Fighter by Team Spockholm will let you attack with stamina or consumables to include combos.

If you choose “Consumable Only”, the Red Devil Durians will be used.
boss4
When you defeat João Paulo Maicon , you get El Diablo Machetes. The item has stats of  134/168 on the Bronze Level and improves to 164/228 on the Ruby Level.

For each level that you fully master all jobs and take out the boss, you get a Bio-Warhead Base. This item has stats of 122/176 on the Bronze Level and improves to 134/236 on the Ruby Level. You have to defeat the boss before you get it so don’t freak out if you finish all the jobs and still don’t have this item.

If you master all the jobs first and then defeat the boss, you will get a combo popup which includes both mastery items.

If you take out the boss before mastering the jobs, you will get an individual popup for the boss fight mastery item.

  1. I noticed that the bandits don drop on the 6th mission which is the mission with the best ratio!Guess Zynga realised how easy this made leveling up in the previous districts.

    1. Thank you so much. It's 7% and I calculated from 8% so it's 108 items needed instead of 100. I appreciate you pointing this out because I may have never noticed the error :)

  5. I like how the Bio-Warhead Base has wheels, presumably a steering wheel inside that cabin and a motor but zynga chooses to put it in the weapons inventory instead of the vehicles...
OCD Level: Maximum, this will annoy me forever
