The Group Fail item of the week is the Gold Shark. When is Zynga going to change this feature? it fails week after week with rare exceptions. Obviously it isn’t working as intended because not enough players purchase these items to push them beyond Silver. Zynga is doing the players who do buy these an injustice and I would think they would be nicer to their paying customers.

In theory yes but they never sell enough to get past silver. Before purchasing, look at the stats of the silver item and decide if it's worth it. In over a year, only about 1 maybe 2 of them have ever made it to ruby and a few to gold. The vast majority stay on silver. Remember Crates are cheaper and you have a better chance to get an item with higher stats.
