It didn’t take rocket science to determine early on that the VIP loot drop rate was really high. The program has only been out since April 5th (13 days) and many players have excessive amounts of this stuff. Mike Nestor has over 20,000 of each item and he is a manual player. I can only imagine how many items the serial levelers who use scripts have.
It’s really a shame nothing can be done with the extra items VIP players accumulate. These could really bring back some life into the trading community. We probably won’t see anything of value giftable because of all the problems it causes. When items can be gifted, they can be sold and players will go to great lengths to acquire as many as possible. Zynga was never able to combat cloning scripts and until they can, we can let go of any hope that decent giftable loot will return. Once the Daily Chance Collection started dropping from New York Jobs and the Limited Time Upgrade Properties offered attack and defense skill points without the need for building parts, the Gifting feature of the game became about as useless as Trader Goh!
I'm not a member of the VIP program, but I'll bet they aren't giftable.... So, anything more than 501 is just a waste...

How nice to have this problem while so many people still don't even have access to the VIP program. Why do players stand by and accept that Zynga does slow roll outs that give huge advantages to some players and other players do not get it until sometimes weeks and months later.Zynga is quite proud of their slow rolls out as they claim it is for the benefit of players to test out the bugs before we all get it. Well I call BS. In a gaming environment no player deserves to have an advantage over another. It should be equal. But no one complains or says anything about this as if it is ok. Well I say it is NOT ok.
ReplyDeleteI run assassinator with 7k stam. Before VIP I lost 0,2% of fights. After VIP got launched I keep losing ~0.5% of fights. Why should I pay 25$ to win 0.3% moe fights? Loot stats will melt down in few weeks. Skill reallocation is waste for a player that does not buy hundreds of RP's a month. Only true benefit of VIP is weekly 50 RP's. VIP is bullshit!
DeleteI would think that to believe in any gaming environment that the playing field would be equal, is unrealistic. There is always going to be someone that has invested more time (or money) to increase their game to higher level than their peers. What the rest of us have to do is work within our playing range, and as that improves, we move up in rank as well.
ReplyDeleteAgreed
DeleteIf you play harder than me and move up faster than me, then fine. But for Zynga to create an unequal playing field is not fair and it is not unrealistic for me to feel that it should be equal for all. This has nothing to do with how much time and money people invest but the only point here is that everyone should have access to ALL the same things. If people choose not to join that is different but to give some access and not others, is BS. Sorry but this is not the first time and I am quite sure not the last either. If you accept this that's your choice but I do not.
DeleteTo Anonymous...Some do..I have been on Live Chat 3-4 times a week ASKING WHY haven't I got the Pop-up for the VIP Program.. I have been getting the same answer," Rolling out slow and soon"...Yesterday I got the "VERY SOON" answer..I have also told them it's a BIG disadvantage to all who didn't get the Pop-up..
ReplyDeleteLeonard
i got the vip on my mini fighter. stats rocked by 24K and 26K. i do however agree with the comments above with regard to the slow roll out and some players now having a hige benefit. i will however continue.to enjoy them while i can
ReplyDeletewhy dosent zynga do a trade in on loot for property upgrades some people didnt get enough help to max out properties and with the few new players they are hung out to dry there are what 15+ properties that now they will have to buy with rps i dont think so they keep raising the aat/def on items what will we see this time next year 400att/400 def items something has to change
ReplyDeleteI'm curious to find out if next month's subscription will bring new, higher ranking loot.
ReplyDeleteif they'd made the drop rate lower all the folk that forked out for VIP would be complaining about that - let's face it, people who want to spend the $$$ would max out sooner or later, Zynga have erred on the side of sooner - can't really complain...
ReplyDeleteon the death of trading - yeah, well, there were too many people ripping off the legitimate trading alternatives (by using alternatives!) so the less said about that the better...
as a non-VIP player I thought the loot drops idea was overkill - yes to bonus loot, yes to favourable RP purchase but the pay2play idea really didn't appeal...
my 2 cents and then some!
I have over 50,000 of each...
ReplyDeleteIt is seriously NOT okay! The VIP program is too much of an advantage to not be available to all players. That is wrong.
ReplyDeleteLynnie
Then pay for it
DeleteFairly sure we said we can't since it isn't available to all.
DeleteLots have been complaining to no avail. By the time it does roll out to us, the drop rate will probably be 1:20,000 stamina or worse.
ReplyDeleteI manage to get about 2000 of each of those items.Im winning about 99 of fights and got 2300 stamina and 3700 energy. Im wondering how this person manage to get 20000 of each. He must have tons of stamina and energy or the image he send is manipulated.
ReplyDeleteAn answer to the message posted before by anonymous. Zynga never answers to comments. I still dont know why, or at least, to see a correction to a problem mention in comments
Maybe I should have clarified.... Lots *have* been complaining via email to support, chat to support, and phone calls to support. "Very soon" has been the standard answer for 2 weeks even to diamond players.
ReplyDeleteFrom the time Zynga rolled out the city that was available only by cellphone I knew there was no truth to their claim that they wanted to protect a level playing field for all players. But only a class-action suit by the RP purchasers can stop them from claiming it while selling un-levelers like the VIP program. I agree with the proposal above to just play my game with my group and not worry about the Big Shot players.
