Pray For Blighty: London Teaser

Share:

There is a interesting post about London on the Mafia Wars Fan Page [1]. It doesn’t make a lot of sense at first.
Destiny is the sands of time. Face your enemies and emerge a hero! But, wait. Answer this simple question before that !
If you were a soldier in WW -I, why would you pray for 'blighty" ?
I looked up the word “Blighty” on Wikipedia and it's a slang term for a Britain [1]. Below is an excerpt which explains what the fan page is talking about. The post on the fan page seems kind of random but maybe it will make more sense once London is released.
During World War I, "Dear Old Blighty" was a common sentimental reference, suggesting a longing for home by soldiers in the trenches. During that war, a Blighty wound — a wound serious enough to require recuperation away from the trenches but not serious enough to kill or maim the victim—was hoped for by many, and sometimes self-inflicted.
Thanks to Sapta Mildo for posting on our fan page.

  4. Let's hope London Mafia Wars city opens sooner rather than later; it seems the Daily Active Mafia Wars players statistics has fallen down to a record 450,000 users; levels never before seen in Mafia Wars benchmark history; lets hope its not a case of to little to late for Zynga's love/hate relationship with Mafia Wars game players; we tried to tell Zynga we needed new Mafia Wars cities released regularly; what have they been smoking over at Zynga HQ?
