Goodbye Italy…Hello London!

Italy is officially locked down and grayed out on the Travel Bar and a new destination was added. London will be our next destination and Zynga is giving us some tasks to do before it launches.


If you attempt to gain access to Italy, you will learn that the Neo-Imperium is now in control. You are offered the chance to “discover the criminal conspiracy behind this operation”.

Clicking on the ‘Continue” button will lead you to the new destination London. We are told very little about London.

“Unleash the pyromaniac within-London is coming soon! Collect jack o’ Lights and gather your crew to win a special bundle that will help you Lord Over London.”

If you miss this larger than life popup, there is a ad on the Home Page that says “Unleash the pyromaniac within”.

The next Secret District which is based in Chicago and called The Great Fire fits this theme ^[1]. Maybe the two will somehow be connected.

Click on the help mark to learn what the Jack O’ Lights and Invite Crew are all about. We will get London Cash for collecting Jack O’ Lights and a weapon called Carnage from inviting our mafia members to London. To gain full mastery and get the best rewards, you will need 500 of each. The rewards will not be tangible until London is launched.

Jack O’ Lights are obtained through newsfeed requests. From London, click the “Ask” button to generate a requests.
When your mafia members click on your request, you will get a Jack O’ Light and they will get one too.
If you’re mafia isn’t responsive to your requests, use the Stream Scanner to collect more. Jack O’ Light requests are found under the “Travel” tab.

Whether you send or are sent Jack O’ Lights, the limit is 50. They are a little vague on when the reset is. When you hit the limit, the message states “Sorry, you’ve already collected the maximum number of gifts for now. Try again after a few hours”. You need to wait for your “Ask” button to light up again and you will be able to get 50 more. You can ask for and accept 50 more Jack O' Lights every 8 hours.

I’ve waited 4 hours and still can’t accept more. You can ask for and accept 50 more Jack O' Lights every 8 hours. For collecting enough Jack O’ Lights, you will be rewarded with London currency once the destination is launched. Assuming you catch all your timers as soon as they expire, it should take about 4 days to get 500.

To get crew members, click on the “Invite” button from the London Page and you will be taken to the Ticket to London Send Page. Send these requests in the same manner as you do Mission Crew and Brazil/Chicago Crew invites.

You will want to send as many Tickets to London as possible. Zynga really messed this one up. Tickets you accept do NOT count towards mastery but are applied to your daily limit of 250 gifts. You only get credit when someone accepts your gift. Use the Gift Blaster by Team Spockholm, do a Hail Mary and hope that enough get accepted. The Gift Blaster has been updated to include London Invitations.

As we collect Tickets to London, we will get a loot item reward. The Carnage is not in the inventory yet but will be added once London opens. The stats of the Emerald Level are 185/125 so you will want to try to get 500 crew members.

It wasn’t very cool of Zynga to make Tickets to London count as a Free Gift. Mafia Poker is still going on and I think it will be difficult to find enough players willing to accept your invitation and sacrifice a Poker Card. Your mafia members get nothing in return for helping you and this system takes away from the spirit of being social.

Just like the Limited Time Upgrade Properties, this feature promotes the use of minis. In order to get your 500 Invitations to count, it’s best to blast your mini so your mafia members don’t feel guilty for ignoring your requests. Just copy and paste your mini’s Facebook ID a bunch of times and send London Invitations. If you don’t know the Facebook ID, use the “Add by name” feature at the bottom. For each invite your mini accepts, you will get credit.

If done properly, your mini should have 250 requests from you and all you need to do is run the Gift Collector to accept them.

I was able to knock out this out in about 20 minutes.

The currency for London is the Pound. It’s looks a lot like Lira from Italy but there is a subtle difference. The image to the left is Lira and the one to the right is Pounds.

Mark Allan found some of the loot items on the servers. We won’t know the stats until the items are added to the inventory.
