Family Progression Level 10

The {ASS} Family reached Level 10 in Family Progression today. It was fun to go back and compare the estimated time it would take to go from Level 9 to Level 10 to the actual time. On November 8th of last year we reached Level 9 and predicted it would take 93 days to get to Level 10 (1).  It actually took 112 days. With everything that can and does go wrong with the Family Module, it wasn’t a bad estimate.



We were able to run the Family Exp Spocklet and get the data needed to calculate how long it will take to get to Level 11.

Eike from Spockholm updated his post on Family Levels and the chart below outlines how much Family Experience and days it will take to get to the next level. The number of days assumes that a family has 101 members and each one contributes to Family Progression everyday. A smaller family of 50 members would take twice as long to get there. Zynga should really come up with a way to balance this feature so players aren’t at a disadvantage if they don’t have 101 members.

If all 101 members contribute daily, we should reach Level 11 on July 9th. We all know that never happens so it’s probably safer to say we will get there sometime in August. Many question if the game will still be around. Our Godfather, Ng, was able to go into the future and capture the image below so it’s safe to say Mafia Wars will still be here.

The Level 10 Perk is the Scrapper. It comes with all kinds of good  stuff.

Scrapper

• Restore stamina 10% faster.
• Cut timer by 2 hours to Declare War every 6 hours.
• Get +500 Mafia ATT/+500 DEF.

Whenever we get a new perk, I like to verify that it does what it’s suppose to. We all have experienced that what Zynga says is not always what we see. To check out the time in which your account regenerates stamina, go to the Mafia Wars Wiki Character Page. I’m a Fearless type and have fully mastered New York so my stamina normally regenerates at a rate of 1 stamina point every 2 minutes and 30 seconds. The Scrapper Perk changed that to 1 stamina point every 2 minutes and 15 seconds.

The Declare War timer went from 8 hours to 6. If you don’t beat up on a mini, trying to find someone who isn’t already in a war can be a pain. I’m not patient enough to declare war every 8 hours so being able to do this one extra time a day won’t really benef

The Scrapper is the third perk which offers a +500 increase to both your equipment attack and defense scores. Once you get it, you should have a total of 1,500 extra points from Family Progression. To verify that these extra points are applied to your score, go to your Inventory Page and look at your equipment scores. They are listed without the additional points from Family Progression. Now go to your Fight Page to see your scores that contain the extra points and compare. You can see by the image below that there is a 1,500 difference in the two scores. The bonus from the Family Properties are also shown on the Fight Page.

Thanks to all the {ASS} members, past and present, who helped us get to Level 10 and make this post possible. There are plenty of families who have already gotten there. I just couldn't post about the perk until I was able to verify things on my own account.
