Mafia Wars Application Spam

Share:

There is so much Mafia Wars related spam in our news feeds that it's almost impossible to find things without the aid of scanners. I noticed a spam post from the Mafia Wars Application in my news feeds and it's rate was quite frequent. This isn't new it's just odd that there are so many of them. Zynga is generating these requests and letting all of your Facebook friends that you played Mafia Wars. Those who are already playing don't really care and those who aren't probably think you are spamming them.
If you click on "### other friends", a list of all your friends who have played Mafia Wars in an undetermined time frame will appear.
With the millions of players who have quit playing Mafia Wars, it irritates me that Zynga will not edit their Application description. The news feed posts states: Join your friends and more than 25 million other players in Mafia Wars, the world's most popular crime game. Build alliances, amass property, and fight mobs of enemies in games of power and deception! It's kind of obvious to us where the deception is coming from. I guess it would look bad to say join your friends and more than 25 other players in Mafia Wars.

  1. It's really annoying.
I don't know why Zynga keeps bothering players like that since they are the ones already playing those friends who aren't interested in Mafia Wars (and thus already play themselves) will deactivate those notifications, anyway).
They should stick with posting sensible stuff, like special offers and limited events and such.
By the way... will there be special offers for Valentine's Day this year, do you know? I still have 13 Euros in paysafecard left and wanted to keep them for MW if there will be...
