If you are working on getting your School of Choice Property upgraded, you may find it a little more difficult than it should be. I've seen a few reports of a bug affecting the individual part requests and have this bug on my account as well. I don't know how widespread the problem is as the bug is not present on all of the accounts I tested. Some players are finding that the "Ask for More" buttons for the individual parts are not working. You can click on them all you like but nothing happens. I cleared my cache, tried multiple browsers and computers, disabled all scripts, went to mafiawars.com and blocked/unblocked the Mafia Wars Application. None of this solved the problem.

If Zynga cares about the children of Haiti (or their own players), they will extend the timer of the School of Choice (1). Eight days is simply not enough. The longer the charity donate buttons are available in the game, the greater the proceeds will be. If players don't feel they have adequate time to upgrade their property, they will simply give up on it and thus not be tempted to donate.

ReplyDeleteI repaired it for myself by blocking mafia wars from publishing anything and then allowing again when going ingame, and it's been working since.
ReplyDeleteOddly enough, I just clicked on a 15 hour old "Cordless Drill" post (normal from inside MW) and it worked also, even though the person had upgraded since and posted a newer request for Galvanized Steel.

ReplyDeleteDon't You think the possibility to upgrade by paying will remain longer. You can still upgrade the old properties by buying property parts and I would assume they will keep it working that way. The more parts You still need after the 8 days the more You will have to pay to fully upgrade.

ReplyDeleteFB privacy settings, apps and websites, edit settings, apps you use, edit settings, mafia wars, edit, Post to Facebook as me, remove. Once removed go back to the game and the ASK buttons will work.
Totally agree. If Zynga does really care about the children of Haiti, they will extend it. They sure don't care about their customers. I gave up a long time ago of copying and pasting and begging and annoying people. I wonder if it's possible w/o all the copying and pasting if every 6 or 8 hours (whatever it is) one stood chained to his computer and asked for help. Since each account is limited to 5 helps per day and their aren't many daily players anymore one has to have dedicated mafia and system in place, or copy/paste/beg/annoybpeople to fully upgrade these non-stop properties they keep introducing.
