768 Reward Points for $35.00

UPDATE: Zynga decided to nerf the Game Card Redemption Bonus from 60-30%. It's only available for one day and I don't see why they needed to do this with only 7 hours left. I hate to call people names but the term greedy bastards comes to mind.

If you follow the advice given in the Bloody Christmas Marketplace Promotion post, you know better than to be mislead by the festive 60% off Reward Point Popup (1). There is a much better deal waiting for you and contrary to popular believe, you don't need to leave your house to get it. Anybody who posts about the 60% Reward Point deal without telling you about the additional savings you get by purchasing Zynga eCards is not doing you any favors.

The first thing you need to do is go to and purchase a Zynga eCard. To do this go to https://company.zynga.com/game-cards/buy-ecards They are currently 30% off and I paid $35.00 for a $50.00 card. Make sure you enter the promotion code "holidaypromo1". Many think you can't send a Gift Card to yourself, but you can. Zynga isn't going to turn away money. Facebook doesn't get a cut of their Gift Card revenue. It's best to have delivery go to your email rather than to Facebook.

Once I purchased the eCard, it took about 5 minutes to get the redemption code. I got an e-mail telling me that I send a Gift Card to myself. I had to click on the "Claim your eCard" link to get the redemption code.

Zynga will never miss an opportunity for you to click so you have to click on the "Claim" button after you clicked on the claim link to get your code.

Once you've done all the clicking you will finally get your redemption code.

Now for the fun part....Go to the Marketplace and scroll down to the bottom left of the page and click on the "Redeem Game Card" button.

Enter your eCard code and click on "Next Step".

You will be quite pleased to see that there is a 60% redemption bonus. I was told that I would get 768 Reward Points for redeeming the $50.00 card that I paid $35.00 for. This truly is a deal.

In addition to all the extra Reward Points, I also got 15 Ruthless Boosts. Not that I care about these as boosts are pretty useless to overall game strategy but you won't get these if you buy Reward Points directly through the Marketplace.

Even more useless than the Ruthless Boosts are Loyalty Points. I got 300 of them and it helped me to maintain Platinum Status. I really don't care about that because the Loyalty Program is a big fail but some players don't want to lost their status and this is a good way to make sure you don't without spending a lot of money.

When you compare the cost of Reward Points offered at 60% off, you can see eCards are a much better way to go. 

Thanks to Mike Nestor for encouraging me to buy an eCard, I didn't realize it was such a great deal.
