Player who haven't had a chance to fully master Italy will be happy that for the next 5 days you will get 3X mastery in Italy. One thing many don't realize is you won't get skill points for completing jobs in paths you haven't mastered if you already mastered the Region.
If you already mastered Italy, you might be interested in acquiring Barb Daggers if they will help your equipment scores.
The Barb Dagger randomly drops from both energy and stamina jobs. The experience/energy ratios in Italy are bad. The best one which doesn't require consumables or Lira is "Show A Business Owner Who's In Charge" and is located in Region 5. The ratio is only 1.94 so if Barb Daggers don't help you, don't waste your energy.
The drop rates for Barb Daggers aren't that bad for the energy jobs. You need to use RepeatJob Redux by Team Spockholm for Italy and Las Vegas jobs. Barb Daggers do not show up on the log so I had to take screen shots from my inventory to show how many dropped with each run. I used 137,000 energy and got 664 (two of them I got manually).
Barb Daggers don't drop as frequently while doing stamina jobs. After the energy run above, I used 25,974 stamina and only got 9.
To find out if Barb Daggers will even help you, use the Show Worst Items Spocklet and check your lowest attack weapons score. If it's greater than 104, Barb Daggers are a waste of your inventory space. I found these were of no use to me so I won't be bothering with this event.
Many players maxed out on Old Cannons during the Cuba Event so if Zynga wanted us to use our energy in Italy, they should have offered more incentive. There are many players who have finished everything and it would have been nice if Zynga made the stats of the Barb Dagger a little higher. Players who have nothing useful to do with their energy would have appreciated it. Players who need to master Italy would have also benefited from a higher stat item and everyone would be happy.

Should we be getting Skill points for completing each unfinished job? I thought I'd take the opportunity to finish off the Social and Fight jobs that I skipped when progressing through Italy first time round. But having completed 5 jobs I've just noticed I've received no skill points. Italy was so long ago that I can't recall if we got skill points for job completion originally.....
