Gift Link Issues

UPDATE: You will no longer receive a gift when clicking on gift links.  This is the second time this week that Zynga has changed something involving gifts shortly after I posted about it. Team Spockholm is still investigating what exactly was changed so they can correct the problem and our gift links will work again.

Sometime last night, the gifting links started to return Error Pigs. Any gifting links you see in your news feeds appear to not work. If you click on them you will get an Error Pig and you assume you didn't get a gift.
Even though you get an error, you still get the gift. Here are my Special Parts before I accepted a gift via a gift link
I went to my families gifting page and clicked on a Special Part gift link.
As expected, I got the Error Pig.
I went back to my inventory and I did get the Special Part. This is still a problem because you don't get the confirmation information or the ability to return the gift.
The Get-a-Nator will still work but all your gifts will show as error pigs. You need to confirm them through your inventory.
You can still open them in the Bagman but they will all show errors.
In the run from above, 8 gift links were opened and all 8 were logged as failures. According to my inventory, I received all 8 of them.
I've seen some people state that gifts accepted this way will not count towards Family Progression. I don't have time to verify this so please comment if you did.

    I let bagman run for 400+ posts... 200 red and 200 blue bags (or there abouts), they all claimed the error code as expected. I don't know about the inventory items, but what i did notice that i never received stamina/energy boosts, skill points or reward points, which is really why i open them for in the first place.
    I may just be unlucky???

    I just clicked through about 35 gift links that resulted in piggies. They did seem to add to my inventory, but I am fairly certain they did not count toward family progression.

    strange. i just ran special parts through Bagman Mugger, collected via Get-a-Nator and i had 49 before and i still had 49 after. Tried about 50 links and most gave error code kn-39.

    Guess i didnt get them?!

    I just tried this, checked the last 24 hours feed, loaded 81 iron casts links into bagman, didnt receive one. Yes I checked it aferwards.

    It might work for special parts but doesnt seem to for Chicago property parts :'(

    For me gift sending/receiving in-game or otherwise doesn't count towards family Progression.

    I still dont have the new gifting update and i heavy reliy on these links.

    Zynga will lose an other player soooon.

    I just don't get why they keep adding or changing things when they don't fix the things that were already broken or not working. Seems to me that they should fix before releasing new things.

I want to let you know that Mafia Wars is rolling out an improvement to gifting feature, part of this improvement is not functioning properly. We would appreciate your understanding and patience while we are working to increase the limits of gifts you can send at one time and with fewer clicks. You will noticed that after we complete some adjustments. The Gifting feature will work better than ever.

    XXXX, for the inconveniences I have added 30 Lath Strips and 1 Arc Welding Gear (138/111). Noticed that you had 8 Lath Strips and now you have 38 Lath Strips. If you have any other concern, please feel free to contact us back.

    Not only do I not get gifts when clicking links, I can't get them from the FB Game Requests page either. Only way for me now is to accept gifts in the Zynga Message Centre.

    Weren't adding a thing for me, no matter how many links I clicked, still only have 7 special parts and 1 animal feed and can't build a thing worthwhile with that amount.

    I tried 2 with special parts and 2 with chicago parts. i got the pig but continued on but my inventory didnt budge once. i did it a few other times as well since yesterday. not one is working.

    I haven't tried special parts yet, but it doesn't appear to work for the Chicago property items. This is the only thing I really have left, so it is going to make that much more difficult.

    Same here, can collect all I want, and get the error, but nothing changes in my inventory. I just dont understand how some can receive them, and others cant. I give ZYNGA the FINGA on this one!

    I'm not receiving gifts from generated gift links or jgraballgifts anymore. I get the error piggy and my inventory does not increase.

    I guess we all have to be patient (HAHA, yeah, right) and wait until the mere humans at ZYNGA get things working again. Oh yeah, my pigs don't leave any hidden gifts for me either. But that's ok, it's not the end of the world. Thanks for this update Ms. LootLady, I appreciate it. ~SCM

    Temporary workaround for those who have the new gifting system. Tested and I'm getting over 100 chicago parts daily via the ZMC.
    First of all, there doesn't seem to be a limit to the amount of gifts you can send via the ZMC.

    I am still getting the piggie, and NOT GETTING THE GIFTS, sent a report to zynga support with a screen shot and have not heard back from yet, and I did this on Saturday....GET IT FIXED ZYNGA.....NOT FAIR TO THOSE THAT PLAY DAILY, ZYNA YOU GOT SOME SPLAINING TO DO, THERE SHOULD BE A CUSTOMER SUPPORT ON THIS ISSUE FROM ME, STILL NO RESPONSE......PROFILE PAGE IS KIMELA PERKEY JENKINS AND {EBoS}Duke MW name....get to work to get this problem fixed, you are admins and should e able to resolve these issues, I've been playing for several years now, and should NEVER HAVE ISSUES LIKE THIS, OR YOU NEED KNEW ADMINS.....MAD ABOUT IT
