The following video is from http://www.g4tv.com/ and you can see a sneak preview of what Mafia Wars 2 will look like. The GM of Mafia Wars 2 says "We put a lot of love and care into it". I wish they would do the same with Mafia Wars!

Thanks for the preview. Now I know I don't want to play.
ReplyDeleteThe fighting in MW is one of my least favorite: Assassin-A-Nator (and its parent, Brawler) made it possible to get the game playable without the tedium and violence.
MW2 looks to have PVP as a major part, and I just don't need it.
is it just me or does it look like a copy of their new game cityville?
ReplyDeletethere is no way i'm playing this thing.
I'm really hoping there is a way to jump from location to location as walking around that world seems like a stupid and pointless waste of time.
ReplyDeleteHow do you spell lame... oh ya, "MW2" :-/
ReplyDeleteImagine if they put all the effort of creating that lame-ass game into Mafia Wars... why do they hate us and this game so much I will never know...
Is it a coincidence that Mafia Wars 2 looks like CityVille crossed with Adventure World.... and recently were given CityVille and Adventure World tie-ins to MW? I think not.
ReplyDeleteAnd as a side note.... the GM couldn't bust out a Mafia Wars shirt for this interview? Farmville? Seriously? Bad PR.
mafia wars meets ragnarok meets cityville...LOL
ReplyDelete1 mafia war is enough for me in one lifetime...
somebody please help me quit, i want my old life back :D...
CitiVille with violence -- think I will pass
ReplyDeleteThat just doesnt even look at little bit fun and with that small glance and explanation it looks even more time consuming. If players who cant log on daily feel left behind now just wait till MWsuck2..
ReplyDeleteCityVille + Adventure World + a drop of ZYNGA (bug) = Mafia Wars 2
ReplyDeletelooks like way to much clicking for me..
This is not for me.
ReplyDeleteIf i want to play rpg's, there are much better alternatives.
grtz,
T.
Thanks for the preview. I was already adamant that i was not going to play mw2, one because i will never play another zynga game again, and two because if they didn't mess up mw there would really be no need. It's not mw and they really should've called it something else, i think they were hoping to get ppl into it by calling it that. Besides all that, the game looks like a POS and i have to wonder with mw how it is, how much data will this one waste. I am sure this will fail, and even if it doesn't, it will never get the numbers that mw once had, and even have now, and i definitely am not playing it as the way it looks there are many "proper rpg's" out there that look way better, and there is always my PS3. Thanks but no thanks.
ReplyDeleteOnce my addiction to Mafia Wars is over I DO NOT plan on having anything to do with ANY Zynga game ever again! Why? Too many unfixed progam errors and just plan screw ups. Add to that to a total lack of concern for new AND existing players, constant nerfing when then do get it right and just plain poor execution. So I'll stay with Mafia Wars for a while longer, just won't be Zynga'd by another Zynga game.
ReplyDeleteNew Mathematical formula....
ReplyDeleteFarmVille+CityVille+FrontierVille+Treasure Isle = Mafia Wars2..
Thanks for the Preview Jenn..Im so much indebted to you...Sorry let Zynga count me out of this..I'm bidding adieu to Mafia Wars after Chicago...let Zynga con new suckers who will be available a plenty...
I am not sure how they expect success for MW2:
ReplyDelete1) People are leaving MW in droves.
2) Also, I would bet a good chunk of current MW players (myself included) will NOT try another Zynga game.
3) I doubt there will be that many new players for MW2.
I am riding MW into the sunset and then will get freetime back. :)
