The Crime Spree feature has been removed from the game. This shouldn't come a a shock to anybody, they haven't updated it for over a year and have said on more than one occasion on Mafia Wars Live that it would probably be removed. The first thing you will notice is the Crime Spree Tab has been removed from the Profile Page.

Pending Crime Spree requests will still show up in your ZMC and Facebook Request Page but they will no longer work.
When you try to open them it says "This feature is no longer available" in the ZMC.
You get a bunch of funky code when you attempt to open them through the Facebook Request Page.
Many players will be sorry to see the 5 extra energy or stamina bonuses go. I know they have helped me when I was close to leveling. It's a shame Zynga wouldn't just update the feature on a regular basis like they do the Lucky Stash slot machine.

ReplyDeleteyesterday they took away our fight ice seasons badges, for which we worked so hard to earn; today they took away crime sprees which were a real good help for us. i wonder what they'll take away tomorrow!!!!

ReplyDeleteI am glad crime spree is gone --- for heaven sakes, there are so many ways now of getting extra XP -- like My Family XP, collecting from Brazil every 8 hours 20% energy and stamina, many others -- I just don't think Crimespree was that important for a long time.....

ReplyDelete@anonymous, I never said I wished for them to remove the feature. I've used the bonuses many of times. Here is exactly what I said: "Maybe they will get rid of the Pawn Shop, Crime Spree, Loyalty Program and Treasure Chests as well". My point of that post was they bring in features and then totally ignore them. If you really think I have that much influence over there, you give me way too much credit.

ReplyDeleteI'll have to agree. Statements are made on here and seem to eventually become fact. I was thinking that when you made that statement it wouldn't be long before some of those things were gone. If you think somebody isn't reading this blog and it has some influence then you don't give yourself enough credit. There's an awful lot of info on here that isn't available anywhere else and it makes one wonder where exactly it is coming from and who is supplying it. I'm sorry to see them go. I used 5 everyday that I've played. 200 stamina goes a long way in fighting the bosses or getting ices. I wish they'd let us have a little vote here and there when it comes to making changes like this..... hint hint for whoever is listening.

Besides: They just gave us the arsonist in Chicago which equals up to 750 stamina.
If Jenn would realy have that credit, we would be able to craft all NY buildings from the building module. As well as those from Italy. And collect diamonds from there (they only drop from the properties tab in Brazil). Plus ....

2) there was no relocation skill for a while and you blogged about "where is relocation"... here it was next day after a month or so missing...

i am not happy about the family exp bonuses for a fighter trying to build but level 3 or 4 times a day it makes one weak at a higher level. Just level 1 time a day with 2 stamina boosts per day which can be used one after another sounds great to me and the reallocation should be in marketplace full time. If the zyngoids want to make real money then take the limit off to reallocate alot of energy players trying to be fighters will buy more rp.
