Mafia Meet-Up Day: October 8th

A few days ago, Zynga started promoting the third Mafia Meet-Up in the Home Page Ad Module. They didn't include the link but if you click on the ad, it will take you to the Meet-Up Page.
So far there are 76 Meet-Ups planned including 115 Mafia Wars fans. The top 3 meet-up groups will get a "mega swagpack".
If you read the fine print, only the top 3 groups need a minimum of 25 RSVP's to get the mega swagpack. The RSVP's are required by Sept, 28th which was 2 days ago. I guess Zynga didn't start promoting this soon enough.  If you look at the numbers, there are no groups with 25 RSVP's and it is well past the 28th. The top group in New York City only has 10. This is probably another sign that players are losing interest in Mafia Wars and Meet-Ups as the last two generated more participation.

    NO, thank you!

    i always loved and enjoyed the meeutp days. it was fun to meet nice people and have some geek-talk about mafia wars with other addicted brothers and sisters.

    but now, i'm happy not to arrange a meetup. i wouldn't even go to one. and NO, i also don't buy reward points for 60% off for a game that is 90% screwed up...

    i hope to gather lots of mafia new zealanders next time, when the game is fun again.
