Many players are having problems asking for help when they declare a war. It appears the problem is only in Chrome. I only use Chrome and this is what happens to me when I try to ask my mafia for help. Clicking on the "Ask Friend for Help" button does nothing and the only way to get out of this mess is to close the window.
This forum thread was started to address this issue and Cerulean Master has reported it to the team.

I've reported this guys (and ladies ). Thanks for bringing it up. CM __________________ |
What Cerulean Master was unable to tell you the easy work around but I can. If you don't use scripts, all you need to do is go to an old post and copy the link and paste it to your wall.
An even easier way is to use the Link-a-Nator by Team Spockholm and your war help link will magically be created and posted for you.

Problem also exists in IE8. No problem in Firefox 3.6. Thanks for letting me know, as I'm also a Chrome user. So, easiest workaround is to just use Firefox...
ReplyDelete^^ As above use Profile manager for more than one FF at a time if needed .Creating a link for a war is pointless it's over before you post it. Also Your Clan should see any war from the Chat section in your Mafia Wars - when its showing.
ReplyDeletei use chrome, but haven't come across the declare war issues many of my fellow players are experiencing
ReplyDeleteThere are more probs than that.
ReplyDeleteYou can't ask crew help (and the ones you have are Default Don's_
You can't post operations
You can't ask mission help
and you get half loaded screens...
Gonne try and find FF3.6 somewhere en C if I can play normal there....3 days is a long time for problems....
I have found that if I go to an old war post and click to help myself it it will bring me back to the window to ask for help (this is with Chrome)
ReplyDeleteI have been using the Comodo dragon browser that is based on Google Chrome with all the same bells and whistles and i have not had a lot of the problems chrome users are reporting
ReplyDeleteanother workaround is to post a wishlist and yell WWWAAAARRR really loud, if they click on the wishlist link, there is a "war help" button they can click to get into the fight...
