Zynga's New In Game Message

Share:

If you aren't paying attention, you may miss it. Look at the very top of the Game Header and you will see a tiny message.
"If you were affected by the Declare War adjustment, please click for more info or to provide feedback."
More info takes you to the Zynga forums and provide feedback brings you to the lame survey that I posted about earlier. Maybe if they stop reminding us about it, the anger will go away.

Default Update to Declare War Loot Adjustment

On August 3, 2011, the Mafia Wars team corrected the amount of Declare War loot in the accounts of players who inadvertently received extra loot from Declare War. This error affected less than 1 percent of Mafia Wars players, but wreaked havoc on the entire fighting ecosystem.

We understand that many players did not know they were receiving additional loot that gave them an unfair advantage in the game. We apologize that our error added too many valuable loot items to the accounts of players who were simply trying to help friends win wars or who didn’t even participate in Declare War. While we do not want to punish players for helping their friends, we made the decision to adjust those affected by this error to maintain a level playing field for everyone.

Yesterday's adjustment corrected the amount of loot only in the accounts of players affected by our error, making sure that nobody ended up with more than the maximum allowed per day. Players who paid to speed up their Declare War timers were credited with additional items.

We welcome your continued feedback via this survey.

Sincerely,

The Mafia Wars Team

  1. Zynga says, "This error affected less than 1 percent of Mafia Wars players".

That is the most honest statement they have made because only 1% still play.

  3. This is my answer to them:
    What I think for rollbacks
This process you led me to the border to leave the game I invested so much effort and you take away all my effort, I just help my friends and didn't know that there are limits to how much loot we can get, you are not stressed at all, you are sux, we will boycott you 3 days. and you wiill see a what will happen when the game fails because of your carelessness and stupidity,I want you to get all the cancellations that have participated in it, and from me you will longer not got any penny!

    Regards,MY Name

  4. Why all complain, it is a fair adjustment... I am sure the only ones complaining are the ones that profited from the glitch... Of course it is no fun if you see your att and def scores dropping like crazy after the rollback, but how would you feel if your competetion had way higher att and def scores just by items you were not able to get (when you did not profit from the glitch)?
