Yesterday Zynga added a new Ultimate loot item to the Epic Family Boss Fight Rewards. They were too lazy to create a Ultimate category on the Rewards Page so you will find it listed with the Superior items.
Everybody wants this item but nobody has reported getting one. Many Families have killed Jeff many times over and the Street Blade just won't drop.
Since the Street Blade was added to the rewards, the {ASS} Family has completed 16 Boss Fights and nobody has gotten one. We also haven't seen any other players in different Families posting about it. Andrew "Bushwacker" is a very active Jeff Killer in the {ASS} Family and you can see by his Inventory Group run that even he hasn't gotten the elusive Street Blade. It was suggested that maybe you get it once you've acquired all of the Superior items but you can see below that this is not the case. I think Zynga forgot to turn it on or they failed to inform us of what is needed in order to get it.
TOKO of the
Mafia Wars Collectors site and fellow {ASS} member found the same problem. The Street Blade just isn't dropping.

ReplyDeleteThat inventory check, between which points in time was it done? During the last 16 you've done since the 4x and street blade came, or as a total ?
ReplyDelete16*4 = 64 items, not 83, so that brings me to my next question: How has the drops of superior items been since the 4x hit ?
It also appears that the Superior items are no longer dropping as well...interesting....
ReplyDeleteThe inventory group bookmarklet shows the totals so these are all items acquired since the beginning of the Boss Fight. I was stating that we have completed 16 Boss Fights since the Street Blade was added. We have completed more than 16 Boss Fights and the loot listed from the script is a total of before and after. The top players have noticed that the superior items aren't dropping as frequently since it was changed to 4 loot items.

ReplyDeleteThank you. I just wanted to see it was the same thing we're experiencing. Top placings used to lead to only superior items before, and now it's extremely rare to get one. The rare doesn't seem so rare any more though.

We've completed a bunch and I'm consistently in the Top 5 finishers, normally #1. My equip drop numbers are better than Bushwackers.
ReplyDeleteSince the advent of 4 loot drops per Boss fight I have not gotten 1 piece of Superior loot.
I actually think it drops coorrectly, just like the Raven sniper shots! with a 0.01% chance :)
ReplyDeleteOk. Just finished a Boss fight. I totaled 68,560, finished 1st, and took out the Boss. If I don't get a Superior for this what does it take?

ReplyDeleteNow wait you all - you haven't figured Zynga out yet? Participation in the event was dropping off after people realized the rewards weren't really worth all the trouble, and so fewer "refills" were being purchased with RP. So they add a nice piece of loot to the list - even at a really poor drop rate it will keep a few more people interested on.

Well of course ... we'll give you 4 pieces of loot that you'll have to replace 6 times as quickly! Gotta love 'em.

Need to add this, as I was in on it from the very start, and yes the superior items were dropping if you were in the top leader board (top three to five). To be there requires some good stamina numbers, the ability to level up and some luck. During that initial burst, I got all the top loot (13)and most of the others, but not all (was missing the skunk). Still since the change to 4x loot I managed to get some top loot (3) and many more rare and others. No one at this writing has gotten the Ultimate. It seems clear that some just got lucky to be in early on this, prior to (again) some changes on the fly. (i.e. the boss was not dying but regenerating, a multiple of times - at the low end - before finally giving in) So the bottom line is that the changes give us 4 x loot and gives loot with good stat. Four is better that one. If or when the ultimate prize shows up it will be a real treat. :-)
