The Official Mafia Wars Blog has posted the latest installment of This & Next Week. As usual, they fail to mention the things they wish you would forget. Here are the lost entries and addendum's.

Smuggler's Haven Jobs Nerfed Again

We discovered that our initial nerf just wasn't good enough. To make Mafia Wars fun for everybody, we lowered the ratios once again and tricked out the loot by giving them better stats. This was designed so that fighters and balanced accounts would feel the effects.  Don't worry, our beloved E-hos can still serial level and will be able to max on the new and improved loot.

2X Fight Loot Drop Weekend
In hopes to distract our fighters from noticing the ramifications of the above mentioned item, we offered 2X loot drops while fighting. Two pieces of useless loot is better than one so stop complaining. The E-hos haven't maxed and we want them to have an opportunity to catch up.

Addendum's 

Mission Event: To Smuggle A Mockingbird
You are hired to smuggle a rare bird to a rich client, but getting it will be a chore. Keep it secret, keep it quiet in this Mission Event set in the new Brazil Secret District: Smuggler's Haven!
Addendum:  Haven't you heard? The Bird is the Word!

Power Packs & The Newly Renovated Hospital
Stamina Packs are being upgraded - to Power Packs! These dual-purpose packs can be used to refill your stamina OR health, depending on where you use them and what you need at the time.
Addendum:  This feature is on what we like to call the super slowroll. Half of you got it and half of you got to watch on the side lines.  We wanted to mess with Customer Support and let them field all the complaints from angry players over the weekend. No seriously, all players should have had Power Packs by Friday but we had some nerfing to do and didn't get around to it.  T.G.I.F!

This Week's Major Bug Fixes

BUG: The Rivals list was not accurately displaying which players were iced.
FIXED: The Rivals list now more accurately displays which players are alive.
Commentary:  It's about damn time! This thing hasn't worked since it was implemented on February 9th when bookmarking links became an acceptable practice.

BUG: Clicking the "Recruit" button in the Brazil Crew bar drop-down wouldn't always post a feed.
FIXED: The "Recruit" button now functions correctly.
Commentary: If you used the Mission Crew Link bookmarklet by Team Spockholm, this wouldn't have been an issue for you. 

Now we were told by the guys who write this stuff that there was a "Big Thing" coming on Monday. The two items below don't look like anything big.  I hope they omitted whatever they were talking about so we would be more surprised (or annoyed).

Coming Next Week

Epic Family Boss Fights
Some epic bosses are on their way and it's going to take the collaborative strength of your family to defeat them!
Translation:  Yeah, we teased you with this one last week.  We know you refreshed every 5 minutes towards the end of the week but once again we had to devote developer time to nerfing. Weeee!.


Boost Mastery Event: Arch Enemies
Draw strength from these boosts. Your will enemies quiver with fear.
Translation:  Sounds cool, doesn't it?  We are sick of hearing that our boosts suck and that they don't last long enough for you to enjoy. What's not to love and why do you all keep your boosts turned off? We are puzzled by this and had to create a way to get you to use them.
