Game Cards: Bonus Reward Points

Zynga Game Cards are having a sales gimmick and you will get a Reward Point bonus if you redeem one. As with everything Zynga, the instructions are a little confusing. You are told that you will get "25% off*". The big asterisk says that  "Full value of card will be redeemed. Discount will result in a bonus award of Reward Points. Bonus may not appear in-game immediately."  What they are trying to tell you is that the Game Cards will cost the same as they always have but you will get bonus Reward Points.

You can buy Game Cards at retailers shown above or buy them on line. Go here for instruction of how to buy them on line.  I purchased a $10 Game Card at a Target in Las Vegas and have been saving it for something like this. To redeem a Game Card, go to your Account Drop Bar or The Marketplace.

Enter the code found on the back of the card or in the e-mail message if you buy them on-line. Click "Next Step" once the code is entered.

Now click on Redeem Card. You will see that you are getting additional Reward Points.

You will also get an additional bonus of 5 Ruthless Boosts.

You get 60 Loyalty Points as well.  On Mafia Wars Live we were told that the sale was to start tomorrow and end on the 28th so I'm not sure how long it will last. This is a better deal than even a 40% off offer in game.  Using Game Cards normally gets you 30% off regular price but the bonus Reward Points shoots that savings to about 50%.
