Top 10 Family Leaderboard

Zynga is only listing the top 4 Families (based on total # of ices) on their Leadeboard for the Death By Ice Event. The total number of ices listed on the Leaderboard are those which were acquired starting on June 28th when the event began and not the all time total.

Many players are asking if it's possible to see more than just 4 Families. The answer at this time is no, but keep reading (Team Spcokholm often says yes when Zynga says no). According to the rules of the Death By Ice Event, the "top ten Families will receive will get additional prizes.".

According to the Customer Support Mafia Wars Family Icing Event FAQ Page, the Top 10 Families will earn some type of bonus prizes .

Top 10 Families

The top 10 Families will earn bonus prizes on top of the Family mastery rewards. Members of the 1st place Family will each get a Two-Headed Snake (175 attack, 175 defense) and 20 skill points. So start gathering your Family and plan your attacks!

They mention the #1 Family will get a Two-Headed Snake with stats of 175/175 and 20 Skill Points. If you check your inventory there are three classes of Two-Headed Snakes so I'm assuming the the second and third place Families will get one of these.

Martin from Team Spockholm is running a scan that lists all in-game registered Families by the number of ices they have received from the day they were created (not from the day the Death By Ice Event started). The spreadsheet is not yet available but will be once the scan is complete. Here is a preview of the Top 10 Families of Mafia Wars (by total number of ices).  Team Spockholm can only scan the information that Zynga makes available on the Family Page so there is not a way to list Families by tag name. Once the scan is complete and the spreadsheet is made public, I will post the link.
(The name of Family #6 did not show on the scan, thanks to a reader comment, it was identified as Hungarian's Arrows and confirmed via the Family ID. The image below was edited to add this Family name)

A cool feature of this spreadsheet is the ability to pull up each Family and view their data in graph form. Lets look at the #1 Family of all time, Mafia Wars Gods. It's really amazing that they are #4 on the Death By Ice Leaderboard as they only have 52 members. I know they are planning to add more members for the remainder of the event so it will be very interesting to see what they can do.
