The Official Mafia Wars Blog posted their latest This & Next Week. So much happened this week I'm surprised they got it all to fit on one page. We all lived through it so I won't bother reiterating that this week was a nightmare and way too much went down. Next week might be more relaxing but Zynga never fails to keep us busy. Here is what players who haven't yet quit the game can expect to see next week.

New Mission Event: Ties That Bind
You’re taking on a newly-elected state governor in Brazil. Keep your head down and power through a major smear campaign to earn a Glamour Helmet (62/150).
Translation: We know we told you this was going to happen last week but the guy who wrote it forgot to check out the timer on the current Mission. We've just about got these Missions figured out so that you will have to spend Reward Points to complete them on time. Our game is not a free ride. If you don't like it, go play Solitaire.
Family Chat 2.0
New features are on the way, including in-chat family member player updates and popping up the chat window.
Translation: We know the current chat feature sucks and our beta testers aren't using it. Maybe these updates will pull those slackers off of Skype for more than 2 minutes so they can do their job and beta test. We have big plans for this feature and hope to charge Reward Points just to use it.
Collector's Edition Item: Daylight Savings
Never lose another hour of your life again.
Translation: Who cares about these loot items? We are just trying to make it look like there is a lot planned next week. Don't worry, there's more, we just couldn't find the specs. The irony is our players lose countless hours of their life just by keeping up. They don't call it Mafia Chores for nothing.

ReplyDeleteNot only that, but if you have less than ten mafia you have to spend RP to complete the "Get support from your mafia" task. You used to be able to have your mafia click twice, one day apart, but now it says "you can only collect from a feed once." So they closed that down. Nice.
