I'm sorry but I can't stop obsessing over the fact that I don't even have a chance to get the Requiescat in Pace Centesimus achievement for at least 10 months from now. There are too many issues players are having with this Boss Fight and nobody is happy. Ignoring The Raven is a great idea but impossible to do if you're an achievement orientated player. I could deal with having to defeat The Raven 10 or 20 times but not 100. This achievement has to go or many players may just give up. It may seem silly but I'm serious. If you feel the same, please go to this Get Satisfaction Idea and like and comment. When I have time, I'm going to spam this everywhere as I would like to stop worrying about killing The Raven 100 times.

Hmmmm, I'm not sure I agree with you Jen. I mean, the hot slots achievement took me longer than this achievement will. It was a pain, but in the end I got it over with. The Raven himself is a right pain to fight though. If they instead made him easier to deal with (have sniper shots drop more frequently and lower his health) then that would be great. I could very well cope with beating him 100 times for his jacket. What would be better would be if they also decrease the cooldown so that the raven was daily. Oh and there really shouldn't be a time limit to kill him.
ReplyDeleteFinally, I think as the game progresses we should get different rewards for defeating him (i.e. more powerful rewards). Perhaps the assassin we fight could change in tandem too.

I agree with anonymous #1...I can live with the fact it'll take time to achieve the goal, but to require us to purchase RPs to acquire enough crap to kill the Raven is horseshit. And, an 8 hour timer? Like so many players in the community, it looks like I'll be skipping this Achievement.

ReplyDeleteKeep it as it is. Not all achievements should be completed in a day. I like that the cheaters can't run a script to complete this any quicker than the average Joe.
ReplyDeleteI wholeheartedly agree! I have one open right now and I'm not going to try it. The sniper shots are not dropping for me at all, and after the last time I only got him down to halfway, and then he went free again, not going to waste my energy doing this again.

ReplyDeleteI've ploughed through 8 loads of stamina this morning, as my Raven was available - not a single sniper shot has fallen into my voluminous (yet strangely empty) consumable pouches.
ReplyDeleteHowever, my weekly ices have gone up considerably. The raven can just flap off and join his feathered pals. That's the only Murder of Ravens I'm going to have anything to do with - this one sucks.
you are seriously over reacting right now, I mean nobody has got the "Whats's after trilion" achievements either, besides a few people who got through bugs, and that does not bother you, why this? I mean sure the either the drop rate of sniper shots should be increased or Raven's health decreased, perhaps also decrese the cooldown to 1 day, but otherwise I see nothing bad about it

ReplyDeleteJen, This is the first boss fight that I will not further participate in. I didn't get a chance the first time around, but did get a chance yesterday. Only had 4 sniper shots and 50 of the rest. Couldn't even get him down to the 50% level. No worth my time and effort. It's not like I'm a low level, 1500+ and with better than 6K attack and defense. I don't mind tough, but it's like you have to spend the entire time playing and spend large amounts of RP's to complete. Sorry, not going to do that!
ReplyDeleteim capable of getting the ice season done in 2 days so im never short of ices so i had the raven fight this morning and was icing for 4 hours and went through 20000 stamnina with 70% ice rate, and all i got was 2 sniper shots. also noticed that i couldnt get the bloody knuckles to drop anywhere other than brazil. Zynga does not want people to beat raven, they want people to spend on it, well sorry but you can go and kiss my ass, ill wait till a new city or something comes out and the loot is better than what you get for raven, well before anyone ever gets near halfway to the 100 times
ReplyDeletei can't agree with you on this Jen. It is good thing that we got something to do that take time rather than one swipe get 'em all. Zynga could increase Sniper Shot drop rate a little bit. That should help. Maybe even better if Sniper Shot drop even if Raven is hiding.

8 hours timer quite a problem with low drop rate. Perhaps, 16-18 hours would do.
Finally I got to see the raven and fight him - then defeat him for that first achievement, however it required me to use 20 rp to get those sniper shots. Not cool. Plus he shows up when I sleep i.e. midnight to eight am. Not cool. Next even maxed out in all other loot those who are supposed to drop during his appearance makes not sense as he shows up during my sleep time. Conclusion, managed to get him once, will wait until they (Zinga) changes the rules. They did it once, they have to do it again! Oh and change the drop rates of those sniper shots, its ridiculous, just another cash grab ;-(

ReplyDeleteThis one, however, is an obvious ploy to get us to buy RP. I've got almost 100 ices since it dropped a few hours ago and have gotten exactly ZERO sniper shots. I've killed him twice, both before they yanked him and nerfed it...I won't be doing it again until the drop rate goes up or the timer disappears. Spending money is one thing...being manipulated into spending it is another.
Jen ... 3 days ago I did the unthinkable "bought 10 Sniper Shot" for 10rp and quickly realised that wasn't enough to beat Raven. In the same time period I also got 99 Ices and just 2 Snipers to show for it. Got on chat and they gave me 15 Sniper and stamina refill and said this event is "designed to be tough" .... But that's your TYPICAL ZYNGA BS for FORCING PEOPLE TO SPEND MONEY. Maybe everyone should REFUSE TO FIGHT THE RAVEN, then that would make it a Dead event. It'll be gone in 60 seconds ! I dont have any issue with the Raven's Timer or Health Size, but they could at least make the Sniper Shot fall for every 2 ices ! Wouldn't that be a fairer test of a Players Toughness? Besides making Sniper Shot available for 10RP is surely NO WAY of TESTING A PLAYER'S TOUGHNESS .... har har har .... ;-) - Waka
