Bad Request Errors

Share:

Many players have been getting "Bad Request" error messages when they try to go to their Mafia Wars account. This error is caused by a Grant_Batch_ cookie that is really long.
To play Mafia Wars again on your computer, you need to remove this cookie. To remove it in Chrome, click on the little wrench in the upper right corner of your screen and select "Options".
From the Options page, select "Under the Hood".
Now select "Content settings".
From the Cookies category, select "All cookies and site data".
Now you will get a list of all your cookies. You could just remove them all but if you use the Spockholm bookmarklets like Inventory History, Stats History or Mafia Manager, you will lose all of that data. To find the Grant_Batch_ cookie, scroll through your cookies and click on facebook.mafiawars.com in the site column.

Now all the cookies associated with this site will open up. Find Grant_Batch_ and click on it. It will open all of the information about the cookie. Now scroll to the bottom and click on remove. Once you do that, you will be able to get to your Mafia Wars game again.
If you use FireFox, go to Tools located in the upper left portion of your screen and select Options.
Now select "Privacy" located at the top of the Options window an click on "remove individual cookies".
Scroll through your cookies and double click on facebook.mafiawars.com.
Now scroll the cookies until you locate the Grant_Batch_ cookie and click on it.
Now all the information of that cookie will be visible.  Click on Remove Cookie and it will be gone and you can play Mafia Wars again.

  6. Does Zynga test ANYTHING? This is ridiculous. Automated test tools to catch this sort of junk have existed for years.

  7. Zynga is the originator of this cookie. It is designed to track Script use.

  8. Nope it is not designed to detect script use. It occurs for non script users too. It is a flaw in the fight module. Zynga is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. For REAL we have shared some trigger points causing the cookie to explode in size. Thereby hanging the browser from accessing MW until the cookie is deleted.

  10. I use Spockholm Checklist beta, both on my desktop and laptop. On the laptop, I cannot see the very top of the Checklist menu, where the 'X' and Config are located. I am wondering if I need to remove the cookie and start over with my checklist to make changes to it... Everything is fine on the desktop, just the laptop has the issue. Could it be screen resolution or something like that? Thank you.
