There is still no double loot drops when fighting and many players are saying this popup it full of lies.
Cerulean Master, Super Moderator, calmed down the masses by responding to this
forum thread. We can all sleep better knowing that The Team is working on it. They better work fast because the 2X Loot Rewards is only suppose to last a little over 1 Day and 16 hours. None of this really matters to most players as Zynga has neglected fight loot and it's in real bad need of an update.

This has been reported guys and the team is working on getting the correct amount of loot dropping.

The possibility of an extension will be discussed internally in the morning. I will update this thread with the decision. 
On another note, the team will be pushing the fix for this event shortly. Once it is live, loot cards will still only show one item, but two items will land in your inventory.
