Five days ago, I told you about a post on the
Official Mafia Wars Blog simply titled Vengeance
(1). They emphasized that the feature wouldn't be readily available when they said "Because we slowly roll out new events and features to ensure stability within the game, this bonus pack may not be immediately available to all players.". It's been five days now and I haven't heard of anybody having this feature. Earlier today, Nate, Community Manager, informed me that the Vengeance Package would not be available to anybody until the new Fight Module was rolled out at 100%. My guess on when that will happen is as good as yours.
We were told that we could get vengeance for 3 Reward Points. To Zynga vengeance means an increased probability that you will win one fight against an opponent you lost to because your attack skills were increased by 200%. They must not get that one attack means nothing in this game. I am interested in the 10% stamina refill.
I couldn't wait to try it out so I went to Brazil and found if I activated the Marksman I could double my attack skills for the next 50 fights for free. That's would have a better chance to "wipe that condescending smile off of your victorious opponent’s face" than one measly attack.
Sure doubling your attack skills isn't as good as a 200% increase but I find the Marksman bonus is usually all I need. I went to the hitlist and took the profile off the longest player and attacked. As predicted, I lost. Notice the red/green display error I told you about has been fixed?
(1)? You can see I lost because my attack skills weren't good enough and they now display in red when this happens.
After activating my Marksmen Bonus, I attacked the same player and won. 50 fights didn't last very long and I wasn't even able to ice him. I can't imagine there would be enough vengeful fun in 1 attack and that certainly wouldn't be worth 3 Reward Points.
I noticed that the additional attack skills don't show up on my listed skills when I attack. The only way you can tell that your Marksmen Bonus is being used is the little flash of your Marksmen on the fightlist or the flash of the word boost over your Marksmen's image above the Fight Module. If I'm going to pay 3 reward Points, I want the bonus to be added to my skills and displayed properly.
When i use the marksman, it shows my attack skills doubled on the fight page..but then again..i still have the old fight system
