There is something very wrong with this Raven Boss Fight. It's driving players crazy and many are just saying screw it. I know I've stopped trying and caring if I ever get the fight a second time. I did manage to get The Raven to appear on a different account for the first time and took the opportunity to get some drop rates. The results are pathetic and after the Shotgun Blast nerf, I'm not sure what Zynga expects us to do. The mount of damage that each Ammo item can do hasn't changed. Shotgun Blast still provide the most damage of a little over 330 a hit.
Bloody Knuckles: +70 - +130
Knife Slashes: +50 - +150
Crack of the Bats +90 - +110
Ammo items will only drop from jobs, fights and robs when there is an active Boss Fight on your account. The problem here is that The Raven only stays active for 8 hours. When you look at the drop rates, it would be almost impossible to collect enough consumables in that time frame.
Bloody Kuckles: Fights: 3/1,626 Stamina
Knife Slashes: Jobs, 2/50,472 Energy
Crack of the Bats: Robs, 2/11,002 Stamina
To defeat the first Raven, I used 158 Ammo items. Most of them were left over from the last Boss Fight. It seems like it will be very difficult to collect enough Ammo in 8 hours once I run out. This will be especially true for the casual player.
When The Raven will appear for the second time is anybodies guess. Some players have reported seeing him again but others like myself and Alaa Ba have given up hope. Alaa has over 2,000 ices and has not gotten The Raven again. Zynga needs to recognize this is a serious problem and do something about it. If they would get rid of those achievements, we might stop worrying about it and not be so angry. What could be a fun event has turned into an epic fail!

i had no problem with this...caught the beta release and killed him with 96 of the 208 shotgun blasts that i had stockpiled from previous Boss fights...then Boss went away for a couple of days...showed up again, and i was able to kill him a 2nd time in the same manner,,,with 2x credit and appropriate att/def increases...

ReplyDeleteGot screwed the first time, beat him right before they took it down the other day and got nothing for it. Not even gonna waste my time with it anymore.

ReplyDeleteI managed to take him down a second time. One thing I did was take him down not quite all the way and went and did some robbing, where I managed to get 4 or 5 bats, and I didn't get any knuckles or Knife Slashes.

ReplyDeleteAppeared once, got him down to 2000 (within an hour or so) and haven't seen him since! Does that mean I will have to start from scratch again??? Hmph, not impressed!
