If you don't live under a rock you've probably heard by now that Osama Bin Laden was killed today by American military forces. Osama Bin Laden was the founder of the terrorist organization al-Qaeda and responsible for the September 11 attacks on the United States.

ReplyDeleteAs an American, I am happy that justice has been served. As an American, I also respect other's religious and political views. With that being said, I find the picture posted to be offensive.
ReplyDeleteThe image doesn't attack a religious group or a country. The man was a terrorist and killed a lot of people. If you all are supporters or that then I wouldn't want you reading my blog.

The image does attack good taste, though, and also stirs discussion about americans being a rude and warfaring folk.
ReplyDeleteI don't find it offensive, although I don't find many things offensive, cuz I generally don't give a fuck what people say/think. Anyone else that finds it offensive, then don't read the posts, simple as that.
ReplyDeleteIt is time for America to stop apologizing. America is always there to help out everyone in their time of need (Civil unrest or natural disaster). I do not see other countries coming to Our aid. (Oil in the Gulf or tornadoes in south) Did you? I LOVE this Country and glad that WE fulfilled Our promise to find Bin Laden. If you are that uncomfortable with the image, then maybe you forgot September 11, 2001.

ReplyDeleteAmericans may be rude and warfaring. Those who take umbrage at our offenses real or imagined should also remember that we are vengeful. Whether we bring terrorists to justice, or justice is brought to terrorists ... justice will be done.
ReplyDeleteThe above picture is not one iota as offensive as the pictures of death and destruction of innocents in NY, PA and D.C. on 9/11/2001.
Considering the rest of the world is celebrating the death of a man who has wrought death for thousands across different continents and among different ethnicities, I'm offended that anyone is actually offended by that picture.
