We all have experienced what a pain it is to manage our mafia members. Zynga doesn't make it easy because your mafia members aren't listed in any type of order. You have to scroll through multiple pages to find people and this is almost impossible for players with large mafias. You can see I have 269 pages. Zynga tried to improve on this by adding the friend ladder. It's a great concept but it fails because only a random 500 of your mafia are included.
Once again Team Spockholm solves a major game problem with the Mafia Manager bookmarklet. Zynga provides us with all the information we want to know and Team Spockholm makes it possible to easily acquire it. Mafia Manager will help us all get rid of our inactive mafia and have a better gaming experience. Mafia Manager is a lot like the Inventory History. You save snapshots and they can be compared. It's also useful for more things than comparing so you can get information from the first snapshot you take. Follow the instructions below to start using Mafia Manager today.
1. Go to the
Spockholm Mafia Tools Beta Page and locate the Mafia Manager bookmarklet.
2. Click, drag and drop Mafia Manager into your bookmark toolbar.
3. Click on Mafia Manager (from your bookmark toolbar) once to unframe the page and a second time to activate the program.
4. Click on "Load Mafia" and wait for all your mafia pages to load. Each page takes about a second (longer in FireFox) so if you have a large mafia it will take a little bit of time.
5. Once all the pages are loaded, click "Ok" on the notification that lets you know the snapshot has been save.
6. Select how you would like your mafia to be displayed on the page by changing the settings located in the lower left corner of the bookmarklet.
There are many options to choose from. When you click on the question mark next to "Show topmafia" you will be directed to the
Mafia Wars Wiki Top Mafia Page which contains a full explanation of how the Top Mafia positions and bonuses work. When "yes" is selected, the player numbers of robbing, fighting, jobs and level that give the highest topmafia bonus (i.e. 11%) are displayed in green.
When yes is selected, players with the highest bonus will be shown in green. So for example, if you look for a new Mastermind, you need a player with more than 12999 jobs completed.
7. Select one of the three options of display available. Show your mafia will list all of your mafia members according to the filters you chose above. Show friends not in mafia will do just that. Compare with the latest will show all the stat changes of your mafia members since the last time you took a snapshot. Clicking on any of the three links will start the sorting process.
There are a few actions you can take from the show mafia list. You can go to your mafia members Facebook profile or Mafia Wars profile simply by clicking on the link of their listed name.
You can also promote them by clicking on "promote" and you will be taken to their Promote Page.
Click on "remove" and they will be booted out of your mafia. The red remove will change to a green removed once you do this.
"Show friends not in mafia" is cool because it will list all your Facebook friends who aren't in your mafia and provide a link to their Facebook profile. I have well over 500 and this will make deleting them as Facebook friends much easier. It's a little sad to see so many because I only accept friends who play Mafia Wars. The probable explanation for having so many on my list is they were players who quit and removed the Mafia Wars application.
To compare your mafia snapshots, you need to have at least 2 saved. Always click on one above the most recent. Your mafia stats will be compared and changes will be listed. This can give you a good indication as to who is playing and who is slacking. I had issues with Chrome crashing when I tried to do this so I switched over to FireFox. Chrome loads your mafia pages must faster so if you don't plan on comparing, I recommend you stay on Chrome. The categories that your mafia will be compared are listed below. My snapshots were taken too soon apart so there is no real value to show. The stat listed in the stats changed category is experience.
If taken a few days apart, you can get a feel as to who is leveling up the fasted in your mafia. If you wait a long time between snapshots, you can also see who isn't doing much. I lost my early snapshots so the following are from Mike Nestor. He got a lot of useful information from this. You can see one of his mafia members leveled up 1,085 times in 9 days. Mike has 2,706 mafia members who haven't played at all. He has some cleaning up to do!

ReplyDeletemy team zynga sort mafia in alphabeticel order,rank orfer,most recent work ranking,top mafia car,need energy, need help and have slots (one armd bandits to play coins on), having a mafia of 501 dont recomend you 501 accuintans that dont know ure sure name, it is open for large friend clubs (if it excist),/firm teams might give numbers, its nice to start as pimp and have loads of girls working and paying yur way, and even then 501 gals a bitt manny, i would recomend no more then 1-2 hundred free time members(bitches must bee free time, if you aint a looker on), and some girls robb and own the hoe on the street, when their yur work force yur getting somwere, butt hierd guns should be in every mafia least 50%, or you mad popular in yur 501 crowd, if yur 501 mafia is out on a club, and the bosses decide to go to the next city reacing it when the party die for some obscure but somewhat important reason, the higher % hierd guns, the hierd % of yur popol vs to the coporate with friend/accuintant, assure you dont go one car towards the mission fight, but least hierd gun%+ whom they force with them, making some workers and some colaborates, so with no workers only your popularity decid who bother to end the party on yur reqest and not keep dancing with this sexy partner you thought taking home, a failure to travel is a loss of face mission and maby impotent things like blood family, forgein orderd cars etc, rps best commercial line is buy hierd guns get controll/own your/a mafia family! Questyion answerd so i dont need see no swedish fickeling with the perfect zynga look. and to advice/teatch others i tell the diffrence between your enemyfriend that can get along, but ussaly need to bee kept appart, depends if its coke or ecstasy often, ther are payd mafia wich is loyal, and there is your peopol invites wich is as loyal as you gett them to behave and help you as much theyr payd for and like you with, a hierd guns allways does yur way of command, a living member is only an ally not yur solider!, its a power game!

ReplyDeleteI don't get it, I'm trying to promote a higher level fearless, and it's telling me it will only give me 10%, I tried promoting the person in my mafia with the most jobs (level 6948, 1170194 jobs) and it is only giving me 10% on the Mastermind.
ReplyDeleteAFTER HAVING 501- does having weak fighters in your mafia matter? I believe not as it is your own arsenal that is used. Am I wrong? And if so,use this tool to remove the weakest players down to 501? I hope this isn't the case as I see my lower levels helping me in other areas way more than my big fighters.

ReplyDeleteJust a heads up for readers, this one needs a little work, I can run the bookmark-let and get the snapshot (have 3 saved), but when I ask for non playing I get a list of my entire Mafia, in no specific order.
ReplyDeleteI cant get anything else to load, which is rather unfortunate.
It is rather time consuming to go page to page, but I am twiddling away at it. It would be helpful if those who stop playing the game could actually take the 3 minutes to send a message to your friends that you are not playing anymore.

ReplyDeleteI tried it in Chrome, and I got an error saying the file exceeded the 2MB limit, and I should try deleting snapshots. This is my first time using it, so I have no snapshots to delete. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteI'm using FF and it says it saved my snaps..but when i open it up (1 week)later...it says there are no snapshots saved and have to start over...happens everytime I try it ...(?)...do I have to uncheck something in my settings?...(browser)....
