In case you haven't noticed, there is another Event Scam going on. I'll review this one more time but honestly if anybody is still falling for these things then your account should have been hacked a long time ago. The latest is an event for "Free 1000 mafia wars reward points". They could at least get the grammar and capitalize appropriately. To see all of your events and remove the scams, go to "Events" listed under your profile picture, click "See all invites" to expand your list, locate the scams (which should be obvious) and click on "Respond".
Do NOT choose and option and click on "Remove this event" located at the lower left corner.
If you want to report these scams to Facebook, click on the title link of the scam and you will be directed to the Event Page. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Report Event". From the pop-up window, select the "Spam or scam" option and click "Submit". If enough people report these things, maybe Facebook will do something. For now you just need to pay attention and remove all the crap that people try to get you to click on.
Thanks to Da Irish Kid for pointing out another Event Scam.

ReplyDeleteFind out stalked you......
Thanks for an awesome blog!!
People will never learn because there are no consequences of spreading viruses and trojans. They don't mind if their private data is stolen, because it's worthless and targeted advertising doesn't hurt them, because they are broke anyways. Most don't even mind and remove their spam posts/events, which also says a lot. All those spam trojans appeal to the lowest instinct: greed.
ReplyDeleteIt will never end. The mother of the idiots is always pregnant.
