If you see the following message in your news feeds, don't do it! If you want to play Mafia Wars, you don't want a secure browsing session.
FB has changed and failed to let us know about it. Take a look at your URL address (the top box on your screen.) If you see "http" instead of "https" you DO NOT have a secure session & can be HACKED. Go to Account - Account Settings - Account Security - click Change. Check box (secure browsing), click Save. FB has automatically set it on the non-secure setting! Do your friends a huge favor, copy & re-post.
If you follow the steps outlined in the "helpful" message above and change your Account Security settings to Secure Browsing, you won't be happy when you attempt to play Mafia Wars.
Mafia Wars can not be displayed when viewing Facebook with the Secure Browsing activated. If you followed the step above before you realized this wasn't a good thing for you, just click on continue and it will go back to a regular connection. Honestly, is anything secure on Facebook anyways?

"Account can be hacked":
ReplyDeleteYes, it can be hacked, IF you're in a public network like wifi, IF someone captures your packets, he can possibly take over your session.
But this is not very likely, and if you're at your computer at home, there is no need to panic.
