Yesterday I posted about the hitlist. To verify everything, I placed myself on the hitlist from my energy account and documented my ride. I didn't think to cover up the players who attacked me as it shows they are strong. A very nice guy named John, aka [SCF] YARKO SMOKA was the one who did most of the damage to me while I was on the hitlist. He did nothing wrong and was just hitlist fighting.
It turns out that John is a fan of this blog and saw that mwlootlady set a bounty on someone and thought he was helping me. He WAS helping me and I appreciate it! The sooner I got knocked off the hitlist, the sooner I could start searching my Player Updates. To get my ass kicked so quickly was a real time saver.
Apparently because of this post, many thought he was being a bully. I admit I played it up a bit and pointed out the 94 attacks (I'm such a hard kill). John is not a bully and nobody should be concerned about this as it was all normal game play while hitlist fighting. When you attack players off of the hitlist, it's your job and goal to get the kill and collect the bounty. Players shouldn't get mad at the person who knocks them off the hitlist, they should take their revenge on the person who put them there in the first place. I'm sorry that John came across as a bad guy but he actually helped the community by demonstrating this point.

Totally agree with this post, I hunt all the time and the person i knock off the list ends up listing me. This goes back to your post, Take it up with the Person who put you there Not the one who is getting paid to take you off.
ReplyDeleteYES what and awesome apology !!!! Thank you for clearing that up !!! xo
ReplyDeleteITS JUST A GAME .
ReplyDeleteTotally agree. The one knocking you off the list is just playing the game. The one who put you is the one to after. If you were in a real Mafia and were a hit man, you don't personally know the person or care, your just doing your job,you just want the money. Now take your revenge out on the one who hired him, for some reason that guy is not impressed and wants you killed so go back and pop his ass
ReplyDeletepfft 94 hits to kill you? that's nothin' :p
ReplyDeletej/k ;)
Since I dont check my email as often as I should (once a week isnt enough????), and player updates rarely show that you were listed anymore, I know I end up hitting a lot of people that are just collecting bounties. My only indicator of being listed is when level 11's start showing up in my feed. ZYNGA'd!!!!
ReplyDeletethey need double the hits to knock me down ^^
ReplyDeletehi jen ammmm dunno if u know who am i ^^
ill just say... stay in touch :D xD ;)
I run brawler and have it set to attack as long as the person is alive so I expect to be listed from time to time. It's when the same person lists me more than once as payback is when I go for retribution.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the clarification! I know the person you mentioned & was worried, because he is such a great guy & wonderful mafia member!
ReplyDeleteJen, you're a real lady!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletehe got 9 mil at least XD
ReplyDeletep/s: play farmville if anyone who thinks hitlisting, and continuous attack ain't part of the game. its fraking mafia game. act like one, be like one, or else...fill up The Hurt Feelings Report (http://bit.ly/gTs8kE)
I totally agree that adding hitlist is a part of the game. But sometimes you meet a badass who keeps adding you to the hitlist many times in a day, day after day. That's must be a real hurt when you can't stop him! I think this game must have a limit that how many times per day a man can add the other man to the hitlist.
ReplyDeleteI address this to all bounty collectors:
ReplyDeleteAs I see it, this explanation may hold true for John, but I don't think it is for everyone.
Imo, hitting the hitlisted several times and say "put the blame to the hitlister not the bounty collector because they're just merely after for the money" is such a LAME excuse.
If people think that way, then predators could kill and kill because they know they won't be blamed! Predators put that in their mind, and they could kill without getting the consequence.
They're just after the money? Oh come on. Don't you have millions in the bank already? If you want to kill the hitlisted, go on! But don't whine and say that lame excuse if you got yourself in trouble with the one you killed.
I myself enjoy doing the hitlist. I've been killed back by those I've whacked in there but I don't go whinning that they shouldn't attack me but the hitlister instead. It's human instinct to fight back. So I don't put excuses if I got killed by someone I took in the hitlist. It's just fair play. :)
It's how I see this scenario because I behave that way when I'm collecting bounties. This is just my opinion and doesn't necessarily reflect those of the other players.
I think I've talked too much. lol :D
