Zynga Standard Time

Share:

Whenever Zynga tells us when events and other things take place, they always use Pacific Standard Time because their Head Quarters are located in San Fransisco, CA.  If you live far away, your time is much different and it can get confusing.  This is especially a pain in the butt for players who are in different countries.  I live in Las Vegas which is in the same time zone so it's never been an issue to me.  The guys at Spockholm Mafia Tools recognized this issue and did something about it. The new script to help players keep track of time zone differences is called Zynga Time.  To start using it today, follow the instructions below.

1.  Go to the Spockholm Experimental Page and locate the Zynga Time bookmarklet.
2.  Click, drag and drop Zynga Time into your bookmark toolbar.
3.  Go to your Mafia Wars game and click on Zynga Time from your bookmark tool bar.  This will unframe the game for you and all the white framing will be gone.
4.  Click on Zynga Time again and a clock will appear right above your stamina.  The Zynga Time clock will fist appear as a 24 hour clock that goes from midnight to midnight and is in Pacific Standard Time.
5. If you prefer 12 hour clock, just click the 24 hour clock once and you will get a am/pm clock. Oh, and as you can see on the image, it easily fits with the checklist!
6. When you no longer care about Zynga Standard Time, click on the Zynga clock again to remove it.  It's that easy!

  2. I don't get it why one needs a BMlet for this? Most Windows users have a system clock sitting in their taskbar and it's really no big deal to define additional clocks for different time zones... I defined one for GMT+8 and called it "Zynga time". Whenever I hover the mouse over my system clock, it pops out with this info, I don't have to have a browser window, let alone an unframed MW, open for this to work...

  6. Forget about working it from the menu bar. A simple way is to go to your clock on the task bar (right below usually extreme right). Double click on the clock and add additional clock. Choose Pacific Time and name it as "Zynga Time". Whenever you hover your mouse over the time clock on the task bar it will give you your local time and 'Zynga Time' too.

  7. Forget about getting the Zynga Time to work on the menu bar.
An easier way is to use the clock on your computer. It is situated on the task bar, usually right below extreme right.
Double click on the time/clock and add an additional time. Choose 'Pacific Time', and rename it 'Zynga Time'. Click 'ok' or press the enter key.
When you hover your mouse on the clock, it will give you both - your local time and 'Zynga Time'.
