I finished the new limited time Mission and will outline it here. This one didn't take me as long to complete as the last one but I used Reward Points to get this post out. You may have problems completing it within the 7 day time frame because of the second task in Part 6 (more on that below). Find the Mission on your Home Page or your Missions Bar.

Trust Betrayed?
These things are annoying because they fill up your Facebook requests and most likely by the time you accept them, your mafia member has already finished the Mission and doesn't need them anymore. Accepting these also counts against the 200 Free Gift limit. When you accept one, you get credit and so does your mafia member.
The next objective is to declare a war one time. Do this to get credit but don't request help because Part 3 requires you win a war. You can kill two birds with one stone if you wait (providing your opponent doesn't request help to beat you before you get to part. Copy the link and wait to post it until you get to part. You also have the option to wait 16 hours but I know many like to get these things done as quickly as possible.
The third objective requires you to do the old Rob an Electronics Store and get 10 of any loot items that drop during this job. The brought back old memories of what it was like to finish New York without the help of lots of mafia members who already finished it. There is no fancy counter on this job so you have to look at the Missions Bar to monitor your progress.
When you finish Part 1, you get a Fume Proof Mask.
Part 2 is very easy but you won't get any loot items as rewards.
Catch A Rat
In part 3 you need to win a war so now is the time to copy that link you saved from Part 1. Post it to your wall and hope you win or you'll have to wait 16 hours.
Stop The Signal
A Harpoon GT is the reward loot item.
Part 4 is hosted by Sam Hadwick so don't get confused. It's still the same Mission. Always look for the timer and you will know you are doing the right Mission.
The Botched Escape
This one is also straight forward. The job has a counter for your looted items and the accomplices are found on the fight page.
You get a Chimney Sweep when you finish.
Part 5 of the Mission is hosted by Thomas Chou and requires you to accept 12 more Mission Crew members ad 5 Manila Envelopes from your mafia. Sorry but there is not a loot item here as a reward.
Smooth Things Over
Finish the 6th and final part of this Mission to get the Grad Prize which is a Lion Fish with stats of 136/75. If you don't want to use Reward Points to complete this Mission on time, make sure you don't collect from your Las Vegas Hotel right before doing so the first time. You have to wait 48 hours to collect on it the second time so it's very important to get the first collect right away. How does one use a Lion Fish to fight? Maybe if you put him on the floor and your opponent slips on him and falls over.
Clean Slate
The only bug I encountered was that the Mission would be listed as Expired when I checked the status of all my Missions from the Mission Drop Bar. This is only because I already completed it and the current Part was also listed. You will noticed new Missions for Italy were added and many players think these are part of the timed Mission but they aren't. I'll review those in a later blog post.
lol jen.......the Lionfish is a weapon because it is poisonous (neurotoxin),one sting from the poison quills & you are a corpse!

Did you believe that story? I am a liar!.............If attacked, a lionfish delivers a potent venom via its needle-like dorsal fins. Its sting is extremely painful to humans and can cause nausea and breathing difficulties, but is rarely fatal.lol
ReplyDeleteOMG Corey, calm down :) It was a joke. The Lion Fish is not a weapon in Mafia Wars, it's an animal :) Since you are the expert on Lion Fish, could you take it out of the water for the sting or would your opponent need to be submerged. I would think the Lion Fish would die outside of the water so I didn't factor in it venomous capabilities.

ReplyDeleteHaha Corey, I was too again! I actually have a Lion Fish in my salt water tank. It hasn't killed me yet. @Pfunk, Customer Support told someone it was released early by mistake and should be back today. Wonder if I'll be able to do it twice :)

ReplyDeleteCan this really be done in 7 days? Building two armors is at least a two day wait. The last one the collect twice from Vegas Hotel which pays off every 48 Hours another two days. Had to wait a day for war items. I've been waiting for people who I see playing to join my Mission. If all goes well I think it will be tight and of course the is the last option to use your GF points which is probably Zynga's desire. Plus there are some friends who still do not have it.
ReplyDeleteThe other option for the win a war if the war you declared is over is to have someone declare war on you. You don't have to wait the 16 hours to declare your own war this way. Of course you need a friendly to declare this war so they don't post the help link...
