No Crime Like The Present: Phase Two

It's finally the time to open up all the presents we have been guarding and replenishing for the past 9 days.  The maximum number of presents we were allowed to have was 45 so I'm not so sure why the pop-up says "with 45 or more presents".  If you don't get this pop-up, do NOT open your presents because you won't get the Grand Prize.  Log out and log back in until you get it or you will need to deal with Customer Support to get it.

I was lucky and had 45 presents so I was rewarded with the Grand Prize, the Auld Lang Syne (110/135).

We already knew what they were, we just didn't know the ratio of good versus not so good.

To open your presents, simply click on "Open Presents" from the home page module and then "Open Presents" from the No Crime Like The Present page. Of course we need to do as much clicking as possible!

You will be taken to the reward page and each color present will have the number you own on them.

Just start clicking on the "Open Present" button and what you get will light up in maroon.  When you are finished, you can see how many of each item you got.  Here are mine.

As suspected, I got more of the lower ranking gifts but I can't complain.  I took screen shots of my attack and defense scores before and after and this event raised my attack score by 154 and my defense by 173.

Now here is something cool. If you have unaccepted Holiday Sacks, accept them after you have opened all your presents and you will get more gifts!  This explains the "45 or more presents " that I was confused about earlier.

I'm going to be busy doing a run on JGrabAllGifts and The Get-a-Nator.  That was very nice of Zynga to not let all of our Holiday Sacks go to waste.  They must have finally gotten the Holiday Spirit!

Some players did not get the Auld Lang Syne even though they had 45 presents. Here is an image of Mike Nestor's inventory.  This happened to players who opened their presents right away through the home page module and didn't refresh to get the pop-up.

I didn't have this problem so that's one less thing I need to worry about.

Al Catraz, Super Moderator, has reported this issue and says to hold off on Customer Support tickets at this time as he is waiting to hear back from "The Team" (1).

If you find that the No Crime Like The Present event has been removed from your home page module, you can still get to it from the Operations tab. Click on Operations and then My Tree.
