We all were excited that Zynga was stepping up to the plate and providing us with news and updates in game. The Community News and Release Notes were great ideas and this reimplemented feature was very much appreciated.
Well now it's just another thing that Zynga missed the boat on as it's not updated consistently. The last Community News we saw was over a year ago.
And the last set of Release Notes were on December 8th of last year.
I'm not saying that Zynga has done nothing as far as the information stream is concerned. They do provide us with information on their Formus, Fan Page, Blog , Customer Support and Get Satisfaction. They even reached out to several players who they have dubbed "The Media People" and provide us with information. They also asked me to write for their blog and I gladly do it whenever they give me assignments. I think they either need to do away with this in-game form or news or assign someone to keep it current. Otherwise it just looks like a big FAIL. It is the perfect place that they could link all of the news and updates that they put out. Right now it's diluted and all over the place.
