A lot of unnecessary panic and false rumors have plagued the Mafia Wars community. A simple pop-up letting ALL players know that there have been updates to the Zynga Terms of Service is the source of the old worn out rumor that Zynga is on a witch hunt for players who use scripts.
Please listen to Episode 17 of the Informant Podcast to hear Pistol Pete of Team Spockholm address this issue in very practical manner. Click HERE to listen and please share this with your mafia members. Squashing these ridiculous rumors starts with you.

I agree completely with the sentiment expressed by Pete on the show. My primary evidence is this blog, Jenn! You're now a writer for the official MW blog. You've had Nate say that he reads your blog. I'm sure other people at Zynga do as well, so they're well aware of your stance on BMlets, and they still asked you to write for them. This indicates to me at least a tacit approval for BMlets. Else when you started writing you would have been asked to stop promoting BMlets etc.
ReplyDeleteYou just saved me ringing the Informant Podcast to rant this stuff all the way from Australia ;)
yes...paranoia is ones best friend...I don't use bmlets all the time myself...like I stated in my last post...I click fight Grrr...still luv me some red mb through get-a-nator and link-a-nator...been a mugger since day #1 but that's about it...mwap not worth it (except for farming and even that is almost not needed anymore). Of course, that new TOS could have something to say about your ad for Dominos pizza on the left side here...had Dominos the other nite after not having it for 4 years (became real cheap tasting) and I have to say...the pizza is Great tasting...It looks like they did improve it...Mmm pizza and MW and no bmlet needed :-))...thanks, Patterson
ReplyDeleteI am more than sure they are after sellers and selling of stacked accounts. At least that is what the rat in me says :-)) and that rat doesn't get paid cheese :((
It's simple for me:
ReplyDeleteIf the game is all about mindless clicking as much as possible, scripts are banned.
If the game is about strategy and decissions, scripts don't hurt anyone, but only remove the chore-factor.
