The developer known as vsahgal is just full of good news these past few days. He announced today that they "just made a whole lot of loot tradeable".
Vsahgal suggested that we sort our loot by giftable to see what items were changed from non-giftable to giftable.
There are about 77 pages to scroll through (non-giftable items start to show up on the 77th page) and you should notice what has changed. There is nothing to get excited about as nothing with an attack or defense over 50 was made giftable.
My favorite is the Cue ball. Back in the day when you got experience points for helping in wars, I acquired 3,641 of these. It used to annoy me that I couldn't get rid of them as they are totally useless. With the new inventory set up, this doesn't bother me anymore. In the past, I wanted to get rid of useless items so I wouldn't have to do as much scrolling. I suggest that you hang on to your useless loot because the Pawn Shop feature is going to be added. We will be able to trade all of our crap for better items. Randomly gifting your mafia with all of your junk items is also rude so don't do it!
Here are the new giftable Italy items. One thing I noticed is that none of the consumable of property upgrade items were changed. With all of these gifting events, it's been almost impossible to finish upgrading my Village properties. It would be really nice if items I can actually use were giftable.
This will be good news for collectors as it will no be possible to get some of the loot items offered earlier in the game that were non-giftable and now impossible to get. An example of some of these items is the Halloween Candy Truck and the Global Cup. If you weren't playing when these items were available, no is your chance to get them. Notice the Halloween Candy Truck is considered to be an Ultimate item? Check out the stats. This shows that color codes are based on the level of difficulty the item is to get and not necessarily the stats. Now that this truck can be gifted, I wonder if they will change the rating.
To see more giftable items, scroll through those 77 pages in your inventory. You will notice other giftable items include some Cuban mastery items, Crime Spree items, Special Event items, old Free Gift items and Marketplace items. These status changes should help lower level mafia become stronger as the higher levels don't need the items and can now put them to good use.
