Challenge Mission: 50,000 Feet

Share:

Just when you thought things were going to slow down, we have another Challenge Mission.  Zynga must have finally ran out of cities and countries because this destination is 50,000 Feet! I'm still shocked because there was no prior notice and we still have an active Gifting Event (Hustlin' Wit Dre) and a Holiday Event (No Crime Like The Present) going on. If this weren't enough, we've had a few major updates (new Home Page Inventory Page and Private Zoo).  Wait there's more, the Missions Feature was implemented and we have 2 new Operations (Secure Rudolf and Steal The Ball).  Oh and lets not forget that Chapter 3 of Atlantic City was released and there are 2 cross game promotions going on.  Really! Do we need a Challenge Mission?  According to Zynga, Yes! Here is the pop-up you will get when you log in.
The Challenge Mission 50,000 Feet can be accessed via the pop-up which will get you to another pop-up or simply through the Travel Bar or home page module.
The consumable item needed is one of the mysterious loot items that were presented on the Zynga Forum Boards last week called the Reserve Chute. Find it on the Free Gift page.  Reserve Chutes will also drop from fighting, robbing and doing jobs. Don't expect to get too many this way as the drop rates are not good.  You will needed a total of 311 of these to master all of the jobs (according to my math which may or may not be 100% accurate).
Right away you can collect 8 Reserve Chutes from the Challenge Mission page and can get more in 12 hours.

You also get extra Reserve Chutes for adding mafia members.
Here are the number of Reserve Chutes you get for each mafia member you recruit.  We can get a total of 21 just by getting new mafia members.
Last time I checked the Louvre was in Paris and not 50,000 Feet in the air. With so much stuff going on, Zynga forgot to change the image on the Recruit page.  It's a left over from Challenge Mission Paris.
What will annoy players who prefer to use Reward Points to get their consumable items for Challenge Missions is the increment in which you can buy them.  You will get a pop-up when you run out and you can buy 2 Reserve Chutes for 1 Reward Point.
If you want to buy more than 2 at a time, go to the Marketplace and select Special Loot and then scroll through the pages until you find the Reserve Chutes. Click the drop bar to select the amount of them you want to buy. The most you can buy at one time is 50 for 25 Reward Points.
The loot items are good but we only get 3 of them unlike Challenge Mission Dublin where we got 4 of each.  This almost makes it not worth doing.
Every time you master a job at 100%, you get a Skill Point but not a loot item like we got last time.
Just like all the other Challenge Missions, we have to deal with a Job Heat Meter.  If you don't have a lot of energy, it's best to stop doing the jobs and wait the 8 hours for it to go down to the green level.  Since we only have a week to get this one finished, you may want to go ahead if you are the type of player who will forget and not return for a few days.
Chapter 1 is called Air Force Fun and contains three jobs.
Here are the jobs, job requirements and payouts for each of the 3 levels of the Job Heat Meter.  What's really cool about this Challenge Mission is that the consumable requirements do NOT increase with the Job Heat Meter. Only the energy required to do the jobs increases.
Green Job Heat Meter
Yellow Job Heat Meter
Red Job Heat Meter
Here are the mastery percentages for each of the 3 jobs.  For Chapter 1 it's 15, and 13%.
When you master the entire chapter, you get an additional +1 Skill Point and a Mach-4 (66/48).
What is surprising is that the next chapter unlocks when you finish the first one.  This is something different as in the past they would unlock after a predetermined amount of time.  Chapter 2 is called High Jacking.
Here are the jobs, job requirements and payouts for each level of the Job Heat Meter.
Green Job Heat Meter
Yellow Job Heat Meter
Red Job Heat Meter
Here are the job mastery percentages for each click.  They are 12, 10 and 9% which is different than in Chapter 1.
When you master all the jobs of Chapter 2 you get a Skill Point, a HALO Wingsuit (88/51) and Chapter 3 unlocks.
Chapter 3 is called The Unfriendly Skies.
Here are the job names, requirements and payouts for each level of the Job Heat Meter.
Green Job Heat Meter
Yellow Job Heat Meter
Red Job Heat Meter
And here are the mastery percentages gained for each job.  This time its 9, 6 and 5%.
When you master the entire chapter you get 1 Skill Point and a Laser Rifle Prototype (114/63).
Make sure you spam an tell all your friends whenever you finish a master a job or chapter.  Your mafia can collect additional Reserve Chutes for clicking on "Help and get Chutes".  This will help you because you will get one too.
There are no other loot items or achievements for completing the event. We only have 7 days to complete the event and then it will be gone.  Start using the Link-a-Nator and Get-a-Nator by Team Spockholm to ensure that you and your mafia members have enough Reserve Chutes to finish in time.

  2. Thanks :) I didn't do enough of them. I don't think they drop from jobs or fights. My runs for those were large.

  3. Got some chutes from fighting and doing jobs this morning, not a lot though.

  4. This will not be a problem for stamina robbers. I had enough chutes after 4 hours to finish everything with lots to spare. Now I am hoping the requests turn into mystery bags after the event is over
