I knew it was too good to be true. You can no longer speed up your timer in the Weapons Depot for 6 Reward Points. It now costs 12 Reward Points just like it did for the Chop Shop event Gone in 60 Hours. Many players are really upset because they bought Reward Points just for this purpose. Those who acted early are lucky because now everyone else will have to pay double for their skill points. Zynga, where is the holiday spirit? The irony here is that many were going to buy Reward Points for the first time because of the great deal. In the long run Zynga probably lost potential sales and pissed off the players who already buy Reward Points.
The official Zynga reason for this nerf was "It absolutely was a mistake" meaning that it never should have been 6 Reward Points in the first place. I still think they made an even bigger mistake by fixing it. Most of the players who knew a great deal when they saw one jumped on it so those of us who were putting it off got the shaft and we were the most likely to publicly complain about it. Because of the exposure, too many players were planning on buying Reward Points or worse already bought them. Now Zynga has to deal with the angry players who have time to request a refund or complain about it. Read the thread referenced above and you will see what I mean.
Yep. They really pissed me off. I bought the points just for the 6RPs thing. I used to buy points but then stopped. Now just when I started to buy again, they did this. Well, most probably be my last points purchase. Don't want to get screwed all over again at their next event.
ReplyDeletesame here i'll never buy rp again. It wasn't the 40% off that made me buy it was because of this promotion of building for 6rp.
ReplyDeletedid same as Asizul -.-"
ReplyDeletethis is so freaking stupid! WTF are they thinking! mos def my last purchase :S
I was lucky enough to use my RPs on this before they nerfed it. :)
ReplyDeletethey reduced it to 10RP for the timer now.
ReplyDeleteThis nerf really offends me. It's annoying when they nerf things like the mission drops, but those are free features. This is totally different as it hits players right in the pocketbook. People paid for reward points based on this published sale. Whether or not it is illegal or violation of truth in advertising laws is for the lawyers to answer. But, it is clearly a sleazy business practice that slaps their best paying customers in the face.
ReplyDeleteThey said they made a mistake. So? Live with it. This promo only runs for a few days and they will make more money on reward point sales with the 6 RP timer. Instead, they have outraged the players who spent hard-earned cash on reward points based on a sale price that was advertised as lasting several days. This wasn't a minor mistake -- they didn't post with a wrong amount and then roll it back a few minutes later when they noticed it. No, this was up and advertised for days.
Zynga needs to make this right, ideally by returning to the 6 point timer and extending a day to make up for the time lost. At minimum, they should refund reward point purchases to customers who request refunds.

Anyone who spending more as $10 per month are idiots anyway - you only make other idiots from zynga more rich. and there no excuse for wasting money on such stupid game as MW. spend $10 is ok - if you enjoy game you czn suport. but waste hundreds or even thousands on game where no so called "end game", so you need keep buy more and more RP just plain stupid. period :D
