Instant Personalization

Share:

A new message about an old privacy setting was going around the news feeds today.  Instant Personalization is a tool that was implemented in late April of this year.  It's goal is to share information you have made public with partnered websites so when you visit them, they will be more tailored to your likes.

If you haven't already done so and want to opt out of this program, go to your Account Privacy Settings.

Click on "Edit your settings" in the lower left corner under Websites and Applications.
Click on "Edit Settings" next to Instant personalization.
Read what Facebook has to say about Instant Personalization and un-check the box next to Enable instant personalization on partner websites.
To find out more, go to Facebook Help Center Instant Personalization Page.
