Special Community Job

Share:

When you go to Las Vegas and click on Jobs, you will have the option to do a Special Community Job.  This job is called a community job because every player who does the job will contribute to the job progress bar.  The job will be mastered when it is done 30 million times and Las Vegas District 6: The Upper Strip will be unlocked.  Click HERE for the Zynga Forum Board discussion thread, HERE for The Mafia Wars Wiki Fan Page post, and HERE for a good article by Stephen Cooper.  From what I've read it appears that the energy requirement for this job is correlated to your level and will not be the same for all players.  My current level is 1,153 and the job costs 115 energy points.  The experience pay out is double the energy cost and the job has a standardized exp/energy ratio of 2.0.
The job can only be performed once every 24 hours per account.
When you click on the "Invite Your Friends" button, you get redirected to you Mafia Recruit Page.
You can see how many times the job has been done by looking inside the job progress bar.  When I took the first screen shot 157,199 jobs were performed.  I took a second screen shot 61 minutes later and 226,436 were completed for a total of 69,237 jobs per 61 minutes.  It's hard to estimate how long it will take to get to 30 million based on these numbers because of the 24 hour timer.  It will be interesting to see what the number is 24 hours from now.  That will be a better number to base an estimate off of.
If the application statistics from All Facebook are accurate, then this should take about 4 days to accomplish. According to this chart there are about 9 Million daily active users.  I have a feeling that it is going to take much longer than 4 days to reach the 30 Million mark.

To motivate you to remember to do this job everyday, watch this video released  on the Official Mafia Wars YouTube Channel.  It's very exciting!
