I want to bring a very special group to your attention called Mafia For Matty.  Matty is a brave, strong and cute 10 year old boy who in Feb of 2007 was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma (a malignant brain tumor).  Matty and his family have endured a difficult battle which is too insurmountable for me to comprehend or describe.  It's hard to imagine the tolls that surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, stem cell infusions and all the related secondary procedures, medications, laboratory tests and radiological exams have taken on this family.  The efforts of Mafia for Matty have demonstrated exactly what the core of Mafia Wars is about, the players.  Matty's parents Kathy and Matt Melton are Mafia Wars players and Matt is a member of the clan [SIN].  His clan members were there for him and helped throughout the difficult times.  It didn't stop there, soon other clans were helping too.  We may fight, kill and ice each other but when someone is in need, the Mafia Wars community always seems to come together and help.  We all share a common bond and most of us have stuck with this game because of the people we play with and against.  To join Mafia for Matty and help his cause, click HERE.  You will be able to read first hand the stories of ordeals, hardship, hope, and inspiration.  Matty has been through a lot and it's the people who have helped and continue to do so that make him stay strong.  Matty's father is amazed by the support from [SIN] and all the other Mafia Wars players. He states that "It is hard for me to believe that people I have never met or talked to in real life would be so willing to help us out".  The Evil Ed's "Angels of Mercy" are hosting an event called Mafia Wars Superheros Fight for Matty.  The event will be held during the entire weekend of July 17, 2010.  Each person who signs up will be assigned to one of two teams.  The teams will then go to war with each other.  This is also a good way for you to experience what being in a clan is like if you're thinking of joining one.  Matty will be watching and get to see all of his supports in action.  This sounds like a lot of fun and it is for a very worthy cause, Matty's.  Click HERE to learn how you can be a part of it.  If you can't make this event, you can still help by joining the group Mafia For Matty and donating.  To learn how to do this click HERE.  It doesn't matter how little or how much you can give.  By joining Mafia For Matty, you are showing that you care and believe in him.
