Game Etiquette

Share:

I opened my chat today and was surprised by how many help requests I got.  There are several reasons this is not good game etiquette.  The first reason involves security.  Hackers love the chat box and use it as one of their tools to do whatever it is they do.  Be careful what links you click.  For more details on protecting your account, please read the note Account Security written by David Reedy from The Kingpin Trading Market.  He is very smart when it comes to this stuff.  The second reason asking for help in the chat box is not a good idea is it can be intrusive.  Your mafia buddy may be in the midst of a monumental  Facebook break up at the same time you ask for his help.  Sending you a Rooster Sculpture so you can vault your collection is probably not high on his list of priorities.  Some players like to be notified by chat when you need job or war help.  You should make sure you know who these players are and limit your requests to them.  The following guide written by Rob Charlton addresses many issues involving the what, when and where you should post things.  It is an excellent guide for beginners and experienced players may get some benefit out of it too.
