If you need more guidance, click the help mark located on the home page banner. Each district will drop 1 collection item per day and it doesn’t matter which job you do.
Each collection piece is shown on the South Africa map in the district in which it drops.
For those who ignore the Home page banners, the Collection pages and South Africa, you will get a periodic pop-up to remind you that the event is ongoing.
As you earn items from jobs, they will appear on the home page banner and on the collection itself. The drop rate doesn’t appear to be that bad and seems to be affected by your total energy pool. Accounts with more energy will need to do more jobs than accounts with less energy.
Once you have all 7 items of the Savanna Collection, you can vault it. The collection is located on the Special Collections page and not the South Africa Collections page.
Once the collection is vaulted progress will reset and you can get more items the next day. Overall this isn’t a bad event as you will end up with 7 loot items and more importantly +70 skill points for spending your energy where you may not normally spend it.

Even though this costs a lot of energy, drop rates aren't bad as you point out. After all the recent issues, and the first mission I've not been able to complete, this is one of the better events and reasonable rewards to look forward to!
ReplyDeleteIt's bugged. I did jobs in all of the seven districts, and it SAID all the collection items dropped for me. When I went to vault it, 2 of the items were still missing from my collection page. I won't waste anymore time on this until it's fixed. ( I never know if my comments go thru or not because stupid google makes me log in EVERY time I come here even though I tell it to leave me logged in, lol)
ReplyDeleteYou probably did the same thing I did when working on this post. The district specific collection items drop as well and say 'collection' on them. I just saw that and moved on thinking I got the item but it wasn't the event collection item.
DeleteHopefully everyone has the same luck, but I found it extremely easy to get each part by simply doing the first consumable job in each district - less than ten clicks on each job and the collection was complete.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck!
I got 1 collection piece per levelup to vault it. I think it's good to limit the event to 1 collection piece per district per day to cap the advantage to those with huge energy pools. 10 SP per day is a really nice reward for this event.
ReplyDeleteYou would like to "cap the advantage" of energy accounts, while reaping the benefits of your stronger attack account. hm, that seems fair. Or, how about we don't cap the advantage, as each type of account gets its own advantages and we should be happy with what we have ourselves ?
DeleteWell thats nice, seems like they dont drop if u are still Bronze. after spending over 100K+ in MAthrha, nothing has dropped. Another poor show by Zyengailiens
ReplyDelete.
I just completed it. Pretty easy, only about 4-6 jobs in each district to get the loot to drop, took me about an hour. I did try using the lockpick crew bonus to see if I got 2. No dice. One per day. Overall not a bad little gimmick.
ReplyDeletesorry to be negative but thats what this game does to you
ReplyDeleteDoes it matter which job you do in each district?
ReplyDeleteNo, only the district matters. You can do any job you want.
Delete53 hits all ruby got 3 thing Ill go whack it again
ReplyDeletethis collection is easy to get....as of this moment....maybe they will make it hard for the collection to drop again on jobs as days goes by...
ReplyDeleteI don't really love this event. The drop rate is not that great and if the job takes all my energy in a couple clicks then I have to level come back and on and on. Some people have a good drop rate but not all, again I hate inconsistency. So it kinda screws players there. If you haven't mastered most districts yeah it's easier. But what bugs me the most is that this is an inherently unfair event because I know so many people who have not gotten to many of these districts so they need to hurry and get to them or forget it. I won't move on past bronze until I collect consumables so if I can't move on and do this oh well ( on my minis, my main can). But I don't think its fair. Make the events so people of all levels can do it. I know Zynga doesn't care when they do events that exclude newer people or lower levels but they should. Not to mention some are working on missions.
ReplyDeleteToo busy collecting 270 beer barrels @ 3 per 15k stamina

DeleteThanks for explaining the event to me, Jen. You always do a better job than the rules do and the spelling is usually better :) I haven't been doing the Special District jobs because of lack of consumables. Now I can set the Lockpick and double up on those until the collectible drops. But to get them all at Ruby level, I had to use an energy pack and 400 victory coins in the Marketplace Fight Club and level up more than once by fighting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this! Otherwise I would not have even noticed it!

ReplyDeleteI got 1 of each from doing the first job in each district. It did take a bunch of clicks, but it does work eventually.
